Zoya Naturel Deux Collection Swatches & Review & A Little Nail Art

We’re getting into the cooler months here soon (thank goodness!) and while I love the brights or Summer, I’m ready for the cooler Fall weather.  Zoya has a follow up to last years Naturel collection released that will help transition into the cooler months with the Naturel Deux collection!

Don’t remember the Naturel collection much?  Make sure to check out my review of the original Naturels!

Let’s jump on in!

Spencer

photo 3 (3)

Spencer is my favorite of the 6 shades, which surprised me!  This is described as a camel cream.  I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.

Chanelle

Zoya Chanelle

Chanelle is described as a toasted almond creme shade.  I find it to be close to a milk chocolate shade.  Very creamy too!  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emilia

Emilia

Emilia is described as a dark chocolate creme, but to me I see a slight tinge of deep olive green mixed in as well.  Interesting shade of brown!  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Marnie

Marnie

*sigh* Ok, first to get this out of the way – the bottle of Marnie I received is misspelled on the label.  It was spelled “Marney”, and it’s driving me crazy.

Aside from that, Marnie is described as a deep, warm plum and has some brown tinges in it.  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for this photo.

(I almost didn’t show this closeup because it’s spelled wrong)

Aubrey

Aubrey

Aubrey is described as a medium mauve creme.  This is probably my second favorite of the group.  Probably.  It’s a close call between this one and Madeline, which you will see next.  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Madeline

Zoya Madeline

Last, but certainly not least, we have Madeline.  Madeline is probably the “safest” shade to me in the collection.  It’s tied for second with Aubrey.  It’s a good neutral shade to have for interviews and social gatherings that you just aren’t sure if you can wear a spunky color for.  While I love my brights and my vampy shades… it’s always good to have a shade like Madeline in your arsenal.

Madeline is described as a muted rose creme.  Again, I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Water Marble

I decided to do an accent water marble nail using the Naturel Deux colors!  The other 3 nails feature Spencer.  Very easy starburst water marble and I like the way it came out!

Overview

Naturel Deux is definitely a great follow up to the original Naturel Collection that Zoya delivered.  It is definitely much darker in comparison to the first collection, but still a nice range of neutrals to own.  I do feel these are more Fall shades rather than “transitioning into” Fall shades, but I’m going to have to transition sometime!

I had no formula issues with any of these and had full, non streaky opacity in just 2 coats.

Price: $9.00 Each

Where to Buy: Zoya Website

Are you ready for the Fall shades to start rolling out?  What’s the main “Fall” color you can’t wait to break out?

Thank you for the great review and pix. I am in love with Naturel 1 and very excited about Naturel 2. I am wondering if Madeline is a shade that’s between Brigitte and Odette from Naturel 1? At any rate, I love Madeline whether safe or not. And I’d love Marnie & Aubrey too. Wishing they would bring back the 3 for $12 promo! Spencer is intriguing as well, tho’ I must compare the shade to a Milani nude from last fall that I own (I’m becoming a polish hoarder).

This is a lovely collection! Some of the colors are so similar to one another, so I may not need to own them all… but, this is Zoya we’re talking about, so I may need them all after all! These are so creamy and smooth, and the watermarble accent is genius. Love how Marnie pops in the swirl.
