Last Fall SuperChic Lacquer brought us her Dreamology collection which consisted of 6 richly pigmented holographic shades that were pretty much all one coat wonders. This Fall, she’s got more of those incredible holos up her sleeve with the SuperChic Lacquer Urban Dictionary Collection!

These are some serious Fall holos. They all have an intense linear holographic effect (remember, my lighting is for color accuracy so the holo is actually a bit stronger than what you see!) and are created to be fully opaque in just 1 coat. I found this to mostly be true. I think there were 2 shades that weren’t one coaters for me.

Rosebuddy

Rosebuddy is an intense golden rose to light pink duo chrome linear holographic. This is more on the metallic side, so I did find I needed 2 coats for this one. I do use thin coats when I paint though.

Wonderwall

Wanderwall is one of my favorites! This is an intense metallic nude linear holographic with a teal flash to it that makes it have a super glowy effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This was the second shade I needed a second coat for.

Rum-Billie

Rum-Billie blew me away and made it into a top favorite for this set. Rum-Billie is an intense deep spiced rum linear holographic. I used 1 coat and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Trap Queen

Trap Queen is another favorite. This is an intense, deep raspberry linear holographic. I used 1 coat and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Awkward Turtle

Awkward Turtle is an intense olive green linear holographic. I used 1 coat and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Zombie Crush

Zombie Crush is an intense blackened burgundy linear holographic. I used 1 coat and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Awesome Sauce

Awesome Sauce is a rich, dark chocolate linear holographic. I used 1 coat and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Deadpool

Deadpool is a rich ocean blue linear holographic. I used 1 coat and a glossy top coat for these photos.

SuperChic Lacquer Urban Dictionary Collection Overview

I’m going to mention the most important part first. These colors are mainly 1 coat polishes and they are deep shades. The potential for staining is incredibly high because of this. SuperChic Lacquer does have this warning on each listing, but I wanted to mention it here. While I didn’t have any super horrible staining, I did notice some discoloration around the cuticle edge where there was no base coat applied. I also only had these on for a short time, so if you wear longer, the likelihood of staining is greater. So please use a good base coat with these shades (I do recommend Bring It On Base Coat by SuperChic Lacquer)

Aside from the discoloration, I was incredibly happy with this collection. The colors are vibrant, the holos are strong (even stronger than my photos show) and had no application issues.

My top picks are Rum-Billie, Wonderwall and Trap Queen. A special mention to Zombie Crush and Awkward Turtle though – those were almost in my top 3.
