I know I keep saying it, but this time I mean it. Posts are going to start coming in fairly rapid succession. I have this whole week off from work and I’ve gotten so much done the last 3 days as far as swatching goes. A lot of the posts are related to Polish Con or releasing very quickly after.
First up today we have Tonic X Femme Fatale “The Four Seasons” Collaboration!
The Tonic X Femme Fatale “The Four Seasons” Collaboration consists of 4 gorgeous shades (2 from Sophie at Femme Fatale and 2 from Lindsey at Tonic Nail Polish) that were inspired by Vivaldi’s violin concertos, Sophie and Lindsey each chose seasons to model their colors after. I have both of Lindsey’s (Tonic Nail Polish) to show you.
*This quartet will be available as full sets (2 Femme Fatale shades and these 2 Tonic shades) on both websites as sets only.*
Let’s see what she came up with!
Promise Of Spring
Promise of Spring is inspired by the fresh, light-hearted playfulness of the Spring concerto.
Promise of Spring is a pale metallic yellow green ‘lumichrome’ that shifts to a mint green and to a greyed out blue, with a scattered holographic effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Bleeding Heart Sunrise
Bleeding Heart Sunrise is inspired by the intense, sultry heat of the Summer concerto.
Bleeding Heart Sunrise is an orchid-lavender base with strong glowing pink multichrome shimmer that shifts to peach and gold, as well as a scattered holo shimmer mixed in. The pinkish red tone is the strongest of all the colors, and the most seen. In person though (without the stronger lighting) more of the orchid lavender base does come through on me.
I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Tonic X Femme Fatale “The Four Seasons” Collaboration
These two shades are half of the Tonic X Femme Fatale “The Four Seasons” Collaboration. Femme Fatale took on Autumn and Winter with Ice-Kissed Grove and Woodland Mosaic, which I personally haven’t seen yet, but if they are anything like Sophie’s usual creations, they will not disappoint.
As far as the Tonic shades, they both have that inner glow that Lindsey has pretty much become known for. They applied nicely and both shades are simply gorgeous.
You will only be able to buy this quartet as full sets (4 polishes total, 2 from Femme Fatale and these 2 Tonic shades) and they will be available on both sites.
I do not currently have a price for the sets to give you, but I will update once it’s known.
Make sure you check out each maker’s social media for upcoming swatches of both future collections, as well as more on this collaboration!
What did you think of the Tonic Nail Polish portion of this collaboration? I think it’s an amazing collab since both makers have a signature look to their polishes!
