Moving on with more gorgeous Polish Con shades, we have the Contrary Polish New York Polish Con Limited Editions to take a look at tonight!

For Polish Con, Contrary Polish’s three shades were inspired by and named after phrases from The New Colossus, the poem written for and mounted on the base of the Statue of Liberty.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
All 3 of these shades will be available at Polish Con, and if you aren’t attending – they will have a limited run online the week after.

Let’s take a look!

Sunset Gates

Sunset Gates has a dark blurple base with strong color shifting shimmer that goes from violet to red to orange to gold. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Mother Of Exiles

Mother Of Exiles was inspired by the original copper color of the Statue Of Liberty before it oxidized to the green color we all know today.

Mother Of Exiles is a copper base with multichrome shifting shimmer that goes from copper to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Yearning To Breathe Free

Yearning To Breathe Free is a dusty blue base with a tinge of green in it, with fine gold shimmer and an assortment of holo elements from fine linear pigment to microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Contrary Polish New York Polish Con Limited Editions Overview

I feel like Contrary Polish is one of those brands everyone has to try, and I’m honestly surprised they aren’t talked about more. Carrie’s polishes aren’t super flashy, but they have an incredible finish and subtle wow factors that make them wearable for all. The Contrary Polish New York Polish Con Limited Editions are no different. All 3 have fairly bold base colors with fantastic elements that really shine through without overpowering the rich bases.

If you are going to Polish Con and haven’t tried Contrary Polish, this is the time to do so. If you have tried them, you know what I mean and should also pick these up.

Luckily some will be available for a limited time the week after Polish Con online, so don’t miss out then either if you can’t attend.
