My plan today was to knock out several posts, and I’m on my second one so far. I planned to do more, but we discovered the bottom drawer of our freezer (that we never use) is a solid block of ice. So I spent the day defrosting the freezer in an effort to get that sucker free. Mission accomplished, and no broken nails. Yay!

So, now that that’s done and I knocked out 2 loads of laundry… here I am to work on the Tonic Polish Matte Brights collection!

This is a 6 piece collection of shimmery mattes perfect for Summer. For all of my photos I did both glossy and matte since I know not everyone is a fan of matte polish.

If you’ve tried the Tonic Polish mattes before, the formula is no different for these. Easy to work with and a smooth, consistent finish. The shimmer adds a little oomph to it when still matte, but add a top coat and the shimmer pops.

Let’s jump in.

Tonic Polish | Mile High

Mile High is a royal blue matte base with strong pink shimmer with a very subtle green shift. I used 3 thin coats for these photos, and the final photos I used a glossy top coat.

Tonic Polish | Desire

Desire is a fuchsia matte base with aqua blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and top coat on the final photos.

Tonic Polish | Tang

Tang is a bright reddish orange matte with orangish gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat on the final 2 photos.

Tonic Polish | Love Story

Love Story is a watermelon pinkish red matte base with pink to gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat on the final 2 photos.

Tonic Polish | Siren Song

Siren Song is a sea green matte with pink to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for the final 2 photos.

Tonic Polish | Fire In The Sky

Fire In The Sky is an red leaning magenta matte base with blue to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for the final 2 photos.

The formulas on these are just buttery smooth. The shimmers selected for each one really glows with their given base colors. With or without top coat, you won’t be disappointed in them.
