My gosh the time is flying by, but I have a treat in store today! The Tonic Nail Polish April 2018 Releases!

There’s a lot of things going on with these polishes, so here’s hoping I get all the info right!

On April 8th Tonic is releasing 11 new polishes.  The majority are magnetics (yay!) and most have something seriously special going on with them! 2 are ‘Double Multichrome Magnetics’, 3 are ‘Unicorn Pee Magnetics’ and 2 ‘Multichrome Holographic Magnetics’! Then there is 1 Unicorn Pee polish releasing in a creme base, and 2 new Tonic Basics.

Whew.

For the magnetics, I’m still kind of learning, but personally I found I got the best effect going across the nail if I started in the lower left side of my nail and held the magnetic on it’s side diagonally and then slowly brought it over my nail. I could see the line moving and placed it based on that. Then held the magnet over the final placement for 30 seconds. I also got the double line doing it this way, which I love. On one set (Queen I think) I used the corner of the magnet and did the same technique and got the wavyish line.

Okay, you aren’t really here to see me babble though and my brain is a little tired, so let’s get to the swatches!

Release info will be at the bottom, I do not have pricing info yet though. I don’t think. I didn’t see it.

Anyways – swatches – let’s go.

Drag Race

Drag Race is a green to blue to purple shifting multichrome base with pink to gold to green multichrome magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Diva Royale

This one BLUE me away. Get it? Okay yeah I’m tired.

Diva Royale is a teal to blue to purple shifting multichrome base with pink to peach to yellow multichrome magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Xtravaganza

Can we just stare at this a minute? Easily my favorite of the set. Well, one of my favorites. I have a few.

Xtravaganza has the original red to gold to green shifting unicorn pee pigment mixed in with a green to aqua to purple shifting multichrome magnetic pigment. At first the color is like “Okay that’s nice” then when the magnet brings out the aquaish color, it’s mindblowing.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Flawless

Flawless has orange to gold to green shifting shimmer that’s the sister to unicorn pee pigment. It’s mixed into a pink to peach to yellow shifting multichrome magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Queen

Queen is the one I did the wavy line on.

Queen has the green to indigo shifting unicorn pee sister pigment and it’s in a pink to gold to green shifting multichrome magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Caliente

Next we’re looking at the Multichrome Holo Magnetics! These will be slightly more subtle (not totally subtle though) magnetic lines, but in person they are stronger.

Caliente is a peach to yellow to mint green shifting multichrome magnetic pigment in a holographic base. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. One of my photos DOES have flash! It isn’t color accurate. It is the second closeup shot of my middle nail with half my index and ring finger in it.

Ru

Ru is my favorite of the Multichrome Holo Magnetics!

Ru is a green to blue to purple shifting multichrome magnetic in a holographic base. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Divine

Divine is a pink to gold to green shifting multichrome magnetic pigment in a holographic base. Another fav here! I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

One of my photos DOES have flash! It isn’t color accurate. It is the second closeup shot of my middle nail with half my index and ring finger in it.

Edna

Edna is an olive green creme base with red to gold to green original Unicorn Pee pigment shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Detox

Detox is part of the Tonic Basics and it’s a stunning black creme. I used 2 coats and a top coat for these photos.

Jinkx

Last up – we have Jinkx! Jinkx is also in the Tonic Basics. This is a pure silver linear holographic. It’s super holo too. My photos don’t entirely do it justice since my set up is more for color accuracy than special effects, but you can still see the rainbow here. It is blinding in the sun.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish April 2018 Releases

Okay a few things to go over! First off, no application issues. The magnet might take a bit of a learning curve if you haven’t used them yet, but they are really fun to play with and even if you don’t get a solid design, you will still get some sort of effect.

Now a few ordering rules: Each polish containing unicorn pee pigments (sister as well I believe) will be capped at 1 polish per person to be fair. There are only 550 bottles of each UP shade and once they are gone, they are gone for good.

All polishes are preorder with a 2-3 week turnaround time!

Got it? Good.

Price: TBA

Preorder Starts: April 8th at 2:00pm CST (noon PST & 3:00 pm EST)
