Go Flake Free With Me With Dove DermaCare

It really doesn’t matter what time of year it is, flakes aren’t a wanted trend. Whether you are wearing a cute dark sweater or an adorable dark tank top – if flakes are present, you get embarrassed. I’ve tried several dandruff shampoos or 2-in-1 treatments and while they seem to take care of most of the dandruff issue, my hair suffered. It would feel stripped, dry and even looked it. But if I used shampoos and conditioners that made my hair look incredible, I had to deal with flakes.

As my son gets older, he has the same, thick hair I have… and the same issues. We have the exact same hair type. His hair feels like straw if he uses dandruff control shampoo.

Together, we are going on a flake free journey with Dove Dermacare Scalp!

We both went to CVS and picked out our Dove Dermacare choices. He prefers 2-in-1 hair care, so he grabbed the Dove Dermacare Scalp Invigorating Mint 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner. I need a little more conditioner in my routine, so I decided on the Dove Dryness & Itch Relief Shampoo and Conditioner set.

We just started our 30 Day Journey to see how these work with our hair, so let’s take a closer look at each type we picked out!

Dove Dermacare Scalp Invigorating Mint Anti Dandruff 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner has a fresh mint sensation and is formulated with active Pyrithione Zinc to effectively treat dandruff in a formula to renew the scalps moisture balance. Its pH balanced formula helps to hydrate and gently care for hair. It helps to hydrate the scalp and sooth the itch that is usually present with dandruff and dry scalp.

Jacob loves the mint scent, especially in the morning. He said it helps wake him up a little and again, the minty sensation is a newer thing for his 12 year old head and he loves it.

My hair is generally really dry and itchy, but still gets oily easily. I do like 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner combos, but my hair needs a little more moisture that I typically can’t get without using shampoo and then conditioner. That’s mainly why I decided to go with Dove Dermacare Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief shampoo and conditioner set.

This particular set is also formulated with Pyrithione Zinc to help dandruff and the dryness and itch. It has a mild pH balanced formula to gently care for hair as well. It also relieves irritation and has a coconut & shea butter scent which I prefer.  The Dove Dermacare Dryness & Itch Relief set also helps to smooth hair so it has the softness I want with my hair.

Both types we’ve chosen are gentle enough for every day use.

We just started our journey to try out the new Dove Dermacare Scalp line. We’ll be using them for a solid 30 days (we’re on day 4 already!) to go flake free!

Stay tuned for the next 30 days to see how our journey goes! I’ll be updating over the next month to let you know how it’s going.

Dermacare sounds amazing! This is so much better than a lot of those other shampoos. This stuff sounds like it smells good, and it’s Dove, so you know it’s going to feel good.
