I was planning on saving this post until tomorrow, but my boyfriend is in an intense battle in Destiny on XBox One with friends, so I’ll use that time to my advantage! Tonight I have the Powder Perfect The Castle Collection to share with you! This is a beautiful 6 piece collection, and for those of you looking for more indie cremes, or wanting something other than holographics – then this is for you!
Here is a snippet from the maker that goes with the collection:
I noticed, first, the dust motes dancing in the light as I walked through what must have been the library.
The carpets had begun to fade and ebb away, and items were strewn about as though the last occupants had
fled at but a moment’s notice. I found a discarded wax seal on the desk – emblazoned with the family’s crest.
A once glorious family, the owners of this house had now faded from local recollection. All that remained
was the crumbling shell of their grand home.
Ready to jump into The Castle Collection? Let’s do it!
Powder Perfect The Castle Collection Recollection Swatch
Recollection is a gorgeous creamy pale nude creme. There are very few nude shades that are perfect on me, and this is one of them. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Powder Perfect The Castle Collection Library Dust Swatch
Library Dust is a subtle periwinkle blue creme polish. I started swatching the collection off with this color and ended up wearing it for 3 days with a matte top coat (which I will show in a moment) because I loved it so much. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Library Dust with Matte Top Coat
Powder Perfect The Castle Collection Once Glorious Swatch
Once Glorious is a delicate lavender creme. This is my hands down favorite from the collection. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Powder Perfect The Castle Collection Crenellations Swatch
Crenellations is a charcoal grey creme. I found the formula to be slightly thicker with this shade. It was still easy to use, but leaned more to the thick side than the other cremes in the collection. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Powder Perfect The Castle Collection Family Crest Swatch
Family Crest is a rich wine red crelly base with delicate pink shimmer throughout. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I took a macro of this, but it disappeared… so yeah. No idea what I did.
Powder Perfect The Castle Collection Gilded Beauty Swatch
Gilded Beauty is a soft coppery metallic shade. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos.
Powder Perfect The Castle Collection Overview
I really enjoyed this collection, especially the cremes. They are well done and soft shades that really got me ready for the softer shades coming in Spring. My top picks are Recollection, Library Dust and Once Glorious!
