Ready for another ORLY Color Blast Disney collection? Next up is Pocahontas! Just in case you might have missed the previous posts – I’ve already shown you 3 ORLY Color Blast Disney sets in Elsa, Belle & Ariel.
Pocahontas is a Disney movie I’ve actually only seen once, and it was over 10 years ago so I only vaguely remember it.
So let’s jump into this and see what colors ORLY Color Blast picked to represent Pocahontas!
Follow Your Path

Follow Your Path is a gorgeous royal blue creme. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Follow Your Path is only slightly darker than A Happy… Puddle from the Elsa collection, so if you have that one, you can probably skip Follow Your Path. I included a swatch stick comparison of both under the closeup shot.
Follow Your Path is to the left and A Happy… Puddle on the right. Not exact – but to some it wouldn’t be worth it to own both.
Listen To Your Heart

Living Earth

Just Around The River Bend Mini Kit
I had said in the Ariel collection review that each of the 3 new ORLY Color Blast collections have 4 full sized polishes and a mini trio. Each mini trio contains 1 shade that is also available in full size and 2 shades that are not available in full size. I don’t like that they did that, but I did buy each mini kit to show all 6 colors available. The Just Around The River Bend mini kit contains Follow Your Path (shown up at the top of this post) plus the 2 shades below.
Colors Of The Wind

For me, Colors Of The Wind should have been a full size shade. This is a glitter top coat with black bar glitter and and red, peach, blue and black hex glitters mixed in. To represent probably the most popular song in the movie (it’s honestly the only one I remember from the movie) I feel they did a good job with it.
I used 1 coat over Living Earth for these photos and a glossy top coat. Glitter distribution was nice and the clear base wasn’t too thick, so I was able to paint them on like normal.
Fly Like Flit

Fly Like Flit is a neon orange leaning coral base (it has a bit more pink to it in person than my photos would pick up) with gold micro shimmery flakes throughout. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
ORLY Color Blast Disney Pocahontas Collection Overview
From my limited recollection of Pocahontas, I feel like they got half of this collection right. I think Follow Your Path, Colors Of The Wind and Living Earth fit perfectly. The neons are really pretty but I think more rich earthtones or Fall like colors with Pocahontas. Maybe I’m wrong since it’s been so long – but that’s what I would picture.

I’m very thankful I’ll never find this collection in stores – I’d buy every one of them! Sometimes I wonder if I have enough money to be as addicted to polish as I am :)

Listening to Your Heart and Living Earth really call out to me. I remember when this movie came out, pogs were really IN. So, this movie reminds me of that fad. The movie is good, and I think these colors really represent the movie well! <3
It’s a little strange how they separated the collection like that, and the colors are pretty, but like you said, some feel a little off. Thanks for the beautiful swatches though!
I’m going to look for the Around The River Bend mini kit because I’d love a mini of that gorgeous blue, Follow Your Path, or maybe I’ll just buy the full size. Such a gorgeous blue
These are so pretty and bright but most of them are dupable with polishes I already have. Fly Like Flit is kind of different and one I’d be tempted to pick up.
The colors are so saturated and juicy! I love that!
Your nail swatches are gorgeous!! Listen to your heart is my favorite, but I agree that the neons aren’t really in line with the Pocahontas theme. At least they’re pretty though!

A Happy Puddle may be a typical color but that’s the one I’d love to wear.
I agree, earthy, autumnal tones make more sense, but I do love the look of Listen to your Heart.
