I have 3 gorgeous Literary Lacquer shades to share with you tonight. I’m actually a bit behind on these 3 and feel horrible about it! On my computer I save all my photos into folders, then as I post blog posts I move the folder with those photos into a “finished” folder, and somehow I moved these photos into accidentally and… outta sight, outta mind took place! Luckily though – all 3 of these are still available in the shop – so now that I’ve waited WAY too long, now I’ll show you the Literary Lacquers The Cactus Duo & Soul Within Me Burning.
Here are the stories associated with these shades:
The Cactus, by O. Henry tells us the story of the pompous, arrogant, broken-hearted Trysdale. The story opens with him upset after watching the woman he loves marry another man. During their courtship, she had heard that he spoke fluent Spanish, he kept quiet and allowed her to assume that it was true. When he proposed to her, she sent her answer the next day. A cactus in a pot bearing a tag with a single word. Ventomarme. Not hearing anything else from her, he decided that the cactus was a refusal of his proposal and he turned cold toward her. Only after attending her wedding to another man, does he find out that ventomarme means come and take me.
Soul Within Me Burning was part of the purple edition of The Color Box and was created with xoxo, Jen. The box is sold out, but you can now buy this shade on it’s own in the shop!
Let’s look at all 3 shades individually!
Ventomarme is a dusty grey-green-blue with holographic microglitter, silver microflakes, and blue glass flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade was created with Jen from The Jedi Wife for her blogiversary.
Come and Take Me
Come and Take Me is a jelly fire opal orange packed with holographic microglitter and opalescent flakies. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Soul Within Me Burning
Soul Within Me Burning is a deep vampy purple holo with coppery orange sparkle and shift. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Literary Lacquers The Cactus Duo & Soul Within Me Burning Overview
All 3 of these shades applied nicely and look gorgeous on. Of course I’m a purple lover, so Soul Within Me Burning is a must have, and if you missed out on The Color Box that it was in, now is your chance to grab it on it’s own. The Cactus Duo I really like because the shades look really nice on, and I love that one is vibrant while the other is more toned down and dusty. The effects within each polish are well done and compliment the base colors beautifully.
Price: $10.00 – $12.00 Each
