Running behind a little again! The beginning of the year is such a whirlwind every year. We have the holidays, then Nick’s birthday and yesterday was Jacob’s birthday (mine is in March). Plus we were thrown a curveball with the loss of my grandfather. Things are starting to calm down now, so I should be back on track.
Today I have The Holo Hookup March 2018 Gelato Box to share with you!
The theme this month is Gelato!
As always, I’ll do a quick rundown for those new to The Holo Hookup!
This is an all holographic box and each month it will have 3 constant indie makers in it – Glisten & Glow, DIFFERENT dimension and Cupcake Polish. Each month there will also be one “guest” contributor, and for March 2018 the guest maker is Lilypad Lacquer!
Let’s see what they have in store for us this month!
Cupcake Polish – Blueberry Belle
Cupcake Polish Blueberry Belle is a medium lilac creme based linear holographic. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Different Dimension – BananaRama
Different Dimension BananaRama is a medium banana yellow linear holographic loaded with holographic microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Glisten & Glow Peachy Keen
Glisten & Glow Peachy Keen is a nudish peach creme based linear holographic with small pink flakes, as well as blue and pink shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Lilypad Lacquer – Mintopia
The guest maker this month is Lilypad Lacquer and she brings us Mintopia! Mintopia is a pastel mint creme base linear holographic! I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
And of course… a little nail art! I actually was in such a stressed state that nothing I did was working out. I wasn’t focused and my mind wasn’t in it – and it showed on my numerous attempts.. but then I did ONE that worked and that I was okay posting!
Gelato Swirl
So I did my first ever Smoosh Mani. I did a white creme base and then smooshied Blueberry Belle, BananaRama and Peachy Keen on the base, then stamped over it all with Mintopia using a faux swirl water marble stamping image.
The Holo Hookup March 2018 Gelato
We’re starting to see Spring colors come into play and I’m all for it! For the theme, these colors are perfect. Nick is Italian and loves his gelato – so when he saw the inspo pic – he was immediately jealous we had no gelato for him.
I had no application issues with any of these shades.
