I just woke up… literally – so if I have any errors, I’m blaming it on attempting a post before coffee has even been made.

This morning I have The Holo Hookup June 2016 to show you! This month’s theme is Decades of Comedies, and the maker joining Cupcake Polish, Different Dimension and Glisten & Glow is… F.U.N. Lacquer!

Quick rundown for those new to The Holo Hookup!

This is an all holographic box and each month it will have 3 constant indie makers in it –Glisten & Glow, DIFFERENT dimension andCupcake Polish. Each month there will also be one “guest” contributor, and for June 2016 the guest is F.U.N. Lacquer! 

Each of The Holo Hookup Boxes have a theme, and this months theme is ‘Decades of Comedies‘ and below is the inspiration photo

So here are the shades to accompany the above photo inspirations!

Cupcake Polish – Shake & Bake

Cupcake Polish Shake & Bake drew inspiration from Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, which released in 2006. True confession: I’ve never seen this movie! I recognized the inspiration pic used and messaged Missi from DIFFERENT dimension to make sure I was right on which one it is.

Shake & Bake is a royal blue linear holographic with silver flakes mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Different Dimension – As If!

DIFFERENT dimension As If! draws inspiration from Clueless (I think we all knew this one) and released in 1995!

As If! is a light pink linear holographic with added shimmers and microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Glisten & Glow – Bueller… Bueller…Bueller…

I think we all know this one as well! Glisten & Glow Bueller… Bueller…Bueller… drew inspiration from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off which released in 1986.

Bueller… Bueller…Bueller… is a gilded light brown linear holographic loaded with gold shimmers and flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

F.U.N. Lacquer – Superhero Landing

And finally we have F.U.N. Lacquer Superhero Landing which draws inspiration from Deadpool which released earlier this year. I actually JUST saw this on Monday!

Superhero Landing is a black linear holo packed with red/copper shimmers and red holo glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

HOLO HOOKUP JUNE 2016 DECADES OF COMEDIES OVERVIEW

I’ve seen 3 of the 4 comedies these polishes drew inspiration from, and I like the selections they’ve picked out for this box. I plan on seeing Talladega Nights eventually, I actually think it’s in my queue to see, we just always pick something else. Eventually though – it will happen.

I had no application issues with these shades.
