It’s been a super busy day, and tomorrow will be just as busy! I wanted to get at least one post done today, so we’re going to be looking at the Ethereal Lacquer The Craft Collection & Ethereal x Matterhorn Duos!

Tomorrow is a HUGE release date for Ethereal Lacquer. Along with The Craft Collection, as well as Pumpkin Spice & Vanilla Chai Latte duos – they will also be releasing the Under The Sea Collection and rereleasing the Blue Raspberry Duo!

One big change the Ethereal Lacquer x Matterhorn Oil duos this time – you can buy just the polish, just the oil or both as a set. In the past you had to buy the set and they changed things up this time around.

I am missing 1 shade from The Craft Collection, so I only have 5 of the 6 shades to share. There will also be a mystery holographic polish available on the Ethereal site tomorrow, which I will most likely be picking up.

So lets just into everything and take a look. I linked the Under The Sea collection and Blue Raspberry Duo about in case you needed a refresher!

Ethereal Lacquer | We Are The Weirdos, Mister

We Are The Weirdos, Mister is probably my favorite from the group. This is a sheer gun metal jelly base with tons of silver holographic flakes, red to copper to green iridescent flakes, and red to copper shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

While this is flake heavy – it was relatively smooth and I only needed 1 coat of topcoat for a glassy finish.

Ethereal Lacquer | Ours Is The Magic

Ours Is The Magic is a blue to red to orange multichrome base with red to copper to green iridescent flakes mixed in. The base is on the sheer side, but I reached a good opacity in 3 thin coats.

Ethereal Lacquer | Nancy

Nancy is a berry leaning red linear holographic with a red metallic shift. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is probably my favorite in the collection next to We Are The Weirdos, Mister. I love deeper berry, wine and burgundy shades for Fall.

Ethereal Lacquer | Dark Secret

Dark Secret is a black intense linear holographic. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat, but it was damn close to being a 1 coater. I do thin coats, but had I done a normal coat – it would have been one and done.

Ethereal Lacquer | Relax, It’s Only Magic

Relax, It’s Only Magic is a blackened base packed with red to copper to green shimmer. The first coat appeared a bit sheer, but it built up to full opacity in 3 thin coats, but probably would have been fine in 2 normal coats as well.

Ethereal Lacquer x Matterhorn Oil | Vanilla Chai Latte

Full disclosure – I know I have a bottle of oil above, but it’s not Vanilla Chai Latte. They were waiting on ingredients so oils did not make it to swatchers in time. I just wanted to include an oil in the photo to signify it is part of the duo set. I will include the oil description – but it won’t be my own description since I don’t have it.

Vanilla Chai Latte is a creamy vanilla crelly base with red to copper to green shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I liked this shade more than I expected. Neutrals like this are hit or miss, but this was absolutely a hit. It’s also the one I want the oil most in.

Vanilla Chai Latte Oil is described as a buttery vanilla chai fragrance blend with notes of nutmeg, chai, true buttery vanilla and cinnamon.

Need a recap on the Matterhorn Oils? Here’s a snippet from a previous review I did:

Nick uses Matterhorn Oils for his beard. Jacob and I both use it for our hair. After showering, add a few drops to your palm (I do about 8-12 drops because I have long, thick hair) and rub it in my palms, then I “scrunch” my hair in my hands and distribute throughout. Jacob does the same, but since his hair is considerable shorter – he only uses about 4-6 drops. It adds a nice scent to your hair and softens it up.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! You can also use this oil on your cuticles or rough skin areas. Elbows, knees, heels – or just apply it on your skin to moisturize a bit. I also use it on my legs after shaving cause it makes em look nice. Not too much though. A little goes a long way.

Ethereal Lacquer x Matterhorn Oil | Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Spice is the second new duo releasing (remember, the third is Blue Raspberry which is rereleasing)

This is a warm pumpkin orange linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Pumpkin Spice Oil is described as a classic pumpkin spice fragrance blend with notes of vanilla, nutmeg, spiced pumpkin and a touch of cinnamon.

Ethereal Lacquer | The Craft Collection & Ethereal x Matterhorn Duos

This whole release is just a bundle of Fall vibes. I think it’s a fun twist to release it alongside the Under The Sea collection. You have a set of bright, shimmery shades and then deeper holo and flake shades (primarily) for a nice mix of stuff.

I personally will be snagging the missing shade from The Craft (Dangerous Type) as well as The Craft Mystery Shade, and the oils. We all use the oils and love them. I’m currently obsessed with Spellbook and Black Sea, while Jacob has been enjoying Blue Raspberry and Nick has been reaching for Watermelon Slices lately.

As I mentioned earlier – for the first time (I think) you can grab the Ethereal Lacquer x Matterhorn Oils as duos or single item purchases.

Prices:
The Craft Collection: $12.50 – $14.00 Each | $75 Full 6 piece collection
Under The Sea Collection: $14.00 Each | $52.00 Full Collection
Ethereal x Matterhorn Duos: $13.00 Each Polish | $11.00 Each Oil | $20.00 Each Duo Set
