Ethereal Lacquer | Howl’s Moving Castle Collection

Happy Thursday! I have been plugging away and next up we will be looking at the Ethereal Lacquer Howl’s Moving Castle Collection!

This is a 6 piece collection and if you would like to see it all swatched – you can check out my YouTube channel (where I’ve been uploading a lot lately!)

The Ethereal Lacquer Howl’s Moving Castle Collection is a shimmery 6 piece collection based on the novel and movie. So if you are familiar with those… you’ll know the inspiration. If not… you can enjoy the shimmery shades anyway!

There will be mystery polishes this round – I will go over them at the end of this post.

For my nails – they are Apres Gel X nails throughout this post, and the style is Extra Short Stiletto. I do sharpen them a bit though to get a more pointed look.

This collection is set to release on February 23rd at 9pm EST, so let’s go ahead and jump in and take a look!

Ethereal Lacquer | A Heart’s A Heavy Burden

A Hearts A Heavy Burden is a medium stone brown crelly base with pink to orange to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspired by Howl

Ethereal Lacquer | Calcifer

Calcifer is a lightly tinted orchid pink base packed with strong orange to gold to copper shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

In some lighting the shimmer gives the illusion of opacity, but really VNL will show through this. It’s on the sheer side and would require a blurring base to make it fully opaque.

Ethereal Lacquer | Find Me In The Future

Find Me In The Future is a sheer dusty periwinkle jelly base with large particle green to blue shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade will show VNL unless a blurring base is used.

Ethereal Lacquer | There You Are Sweetheart

There You Are Sweetheart is a warm toned hot pink crelly base full of blue to violet shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspired by Wizard Howl

Ethereal Lacquer | Witch Of The Waste

Witch of the Waste is a dark raisin creme base with blue shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspired by The Witch of the Waste

Ethereal Lacquer | Your Hair Looks Like Starlight

Your Hair Looks Like Starlight is a semi sheer, very light milky sky blue crelly base full of blue shimmer with a subtle violet shift. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

VNL will show through this as well without a blurring base.
