Jordana Glitters Specialty Nail Polish Reviews and Swatches

Jordana Glitters Nail Polish Reviews and Swatches – PICTURE HEAVY!

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend…but Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald & Amethyst are a family of jewels nails will adore.

Jordana gave me the opportunity to review 18 (!) of their amazing glitters from their Glitters Specialty Nail Polish line.  I was overwhelmed by all of the different colors and varieties available and couldn’t wait to tackle the swatches.  If you are EVER looking for a certain glitter head to your local K-Mart and check out this line!    Jordana has a little something for everyone in this line!

My main thing about this collection is that the use of clear bases makes it entirely possible to either layer the polish over a base color or wear it alone.  I chose to do almost all of the review pictures over a bare nail so you could see the density and pure color of the glitters without any alteration.  I also only used 1 coat of glitter on each so you could see that this glitter really packs a punch!  Towards the end of this post I added some color as a base along with the glitter in different ways to see the wonderful uses of the Jordana Specialty Glitters.

Lunar Lights is the only Jordana Glitters Specialty Polish that I used a white polish as a base.  The only reason I did this was to show the colors reflecting in the glitter.   Lunar Lights has both fine white iridescent  glitter and medium white iridescent hex glitter suspended in a clear base.  The clear base is a little thicker than I am use to, but when it dried down the glitters were fairly smooth over my nail.

Fairy Dust was a fun “pretty princess” like pink and holographic glitter.  Fairy Dust is a densely packed glitter polish with super fine pink glitter and slightly larger round holographic glitter mixed in.  I only used 1 coat of this polish on my bare nails and the color was so pretty!

Celebration is one of my favorites (I’m such a huge fan of purple!) and it has very fine purple glitter as well as slightly larger purple round glitter mixed into a clear base.  This is another densely packed glitter and would be fine on its own or over another color.  I used 1 coat of Celebration on my nails.

Green Glitz is a perfect glitter to have on hand when Christmas rolls around – perfect Christmas green!  Green Glitz is small and medium green glitter in a green tinged clear base.  This is another densely packed glitter and covers plenty of the nail in just 1 coat.

Blue Bash is a very vibrant fine and medium aqua blue glitter suspended in a clear base.  This is a very pretty spring/summer blue!

Copper Blaze is one of the “chunky” glitters of the collection.  Copper Blaze is a bunch of copper colored round glitters suspended in a thick clear base.  I got a TON of glitter each time I dipped the brush in and they were easily spreadable throughout my whole nail.  These glitters were easy to manipulate and place.

Funky Gold Town is the same as Copper Blaze – it is a chunky round glitter in a clear base, but obviously instead of copper – the glitter is gold!  When I see these polishes I think they would be fabulous on nail tips.

The next gold glitter in the collection is Gold Glam and it is probably another favorite of mine.  Gold Glam is very fine gold glitter densely packed into a clear base with diamond shaped gold holographic glitters mixed in.  The diamond holographic glitter is harder to find in this glitter, but I was able to get 1 or 2 out easily with each dip into the polish.

Bronze Fest is the one that screams “FALL!!” to me.  Picture a lovely brown polish base with Bronze Fest just on the tips for accent?  Gorgeous.  Bronze Fest has both bronze and gold micro glitter with slightly larger round gold and bronze circles in it.

Pixie Pink is a fabulous pink glitter polish.  Suspended in a clear base there are fine particles of the perfect pink glitter and slightly larger pink hexagon glitter.  Very girly, very “me”.

Rhinestones is the silver dazzling glitter.  Just like diamonds coating your nails, you will find fine silver glitter particles as well as slightly larger hexagon silver glitter.

Cosmic glitter has very fine blue glitter in a clear base with silver, green and blue larger chunky round glitter mixed in with it.  Love the colors mixed in with this one, and the name is incredibly fitting.

Magenta Magic is another vibrant glitter in the collection.  As the name suggest, this one is packed with fine magenta glitter as well as larger round chunky glitters suspended in a clear base.  Very bright, very glam.

Sequins was probably one of my least favorite in the collection.  Not because of the application really, but I’ve never been an overly huge fan of color mixtures scattered within.  Sequins has small red glitter scattered in with blue, magenta and silver chunky glitters.  It is pretty, but I prefer solid colors in glitter for some reason – just a personal preference.

Celestial is another beauty of a glitter.  Gorgeous bright turquoise micro glitter densely packed in with slightly larger hexagon turquoise glitter.  Another perfect spring/summer glitter to liven up a mani!

Gemstones is yet another chunky colorful glitter.  Much like the name, the chunky glitters in this polish cover a lot of the popular gemstones.  Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, Aquamarine, Citrine and Amethyst colored chunky circle glitter all suspended in a clear base.  This was another easily manipulated glitter and was easy to place on the nail with little to no work.

My Superstar explodes with color.  My Superstar has fine particles of gold glitter mixed in with small blue glitter and medium sized red and gold hexagon glitter.

LA City Nights is another favorite of mine.  This lovely has small dark purple dazzling glitter particles with small blue round glitter mixed in.  Absolutely beautiful mix of two colors in a clear base to make a gorgeous overlay on a black base polish.

Next I used 5 of the different glitters over colored bases to see how you can use it to liven up a mani if you so desire!  On my thumb I used Funky Town Gold on the tip over a coral-pink base. On my index finger I brushed Bronze Fest across the tip of my nail over a shimmery brown base.  On the middle finger I used a gunmetal grey and a coat of LA City Lights over it.  My ring finger has a pale goldish purple base with Gold Glam as a gradient from the middle of the nail up to the tip.  My little pinkie has a bubblegum pink polish with a funky french diagonal design using Fairy Dust.  So many different styles of glitter and so much you can do with it.  Love it!

That concludes my review on 18 Jordana Specialty Glitters Nail Polish.  Overall I am extremely pleased with this collection.  If you are on the look out for a decently priced glitter to accent your manicure for a night out (or just because you are a glitter lover) I would recommend taking a peek at this collection.  There is a little something for everyone and a mix of chunky glitters, fine glitters, multi colored and vibrant colors.  There are still 6 Glitter Specialty polishes in the Jordana line that have yet to be released!

I was a little taken back with the thickness of the clear base used for some of the glitters, but it made it so that when the polish dried the glitters didn’t feel so gritty or chunky, which I prefer.  Most could simply add a top coat to polish the glitter off and be done with a mostly smooth feeling left.

Jordana Glitter Specialty Nail Polishes and other Jordana Nail Polish colors can be found in K-Mart for $2.99 a bottle.

Oh! I’m in love! They are all stunning, but I think I like the copper, bronze, and the gold glitters the most. <3

Are the bronze and copper larger pieces flat, or do they tend to curl? Thanks!
