Today at work I got in 9 new nail polishes. It was like Christmas all over again!
I decided on Zoya Skylar and HITS Hefesto!
I picked up Zoya Skylar and started sweeping it on my nails. Zoya Skylar is beautiful in the bottle, but its spectacular once you put it on your nail. Zoya Skylar was just recently released in Zoya’s True Collection so its a new lady to the Zoya line. Skylar is a dusty steel blue packed with silver shimmer. Breathtaking. It went on nicely and was completely opaque in 2 coats.
I love layering polishes, so of course I couldn’t just stop at Skylar – so I needed to decide if I wanted a flakie or a holo…HITS Hefesto won. HITS Hefesto is a gorgeous silver linear top coat that you can put over any color and it will take on the color you are wearing and turn it into a holo polish! How awesome is that? You can also wear it alone for a sheer holo color, but with 8 other new colors, why would I just wear it alone?
The outcome was a lovely blue holo polish. Skylar and Hefesto are just beautiful together. We took a few pictures of it in order to show the colors off. Without natural sunlight though, the complete impact isn’t there – but trust me, the photos just do NOT do this combo justice.
Zoya Skylar can be found on Zoya.com for $8.00 (US) and was released in January of 2012 with their True Collection. Zoya’s come in .5 fl oz bottles.
HITS Hefesto is generally harder to find in the US but can be found in Llarowe’s shop for $10.00 (US). Hefesto is part of HITS No Olimpo collection.
Just thought I would throw in that Llarowe’s shop sells many gorgeous, harder to find nail polishes at reasonable prices. I was so happy when I found her shop and have so many items I am looking forward to placing in my cart!!
