We’re continuing on with the Vapibirthday Celebration! Last night I showed the Cosmos & Cosmos: Dirty Edition collections, and today I have the Vapid Lacquer Vapibirthday Bath & Body products!
There are more products to go with these, but this is a large chunk of it. There will also be Nail Sauces and Wax Melts available in these scents, as well as other sizes of body creams and body scrubs. I was sent a rather nice assortment to share in all of the scents for this release.
I will be describing the scents as I interpret them. I do not have a scent cheat sheet to refer to, which is rather nice so I can give my personal description without hearing much of what they really are. We all have a difference sense of smell, some more perceptive than others, so please keep in mind that your perception might be slightly different. I don’t have an overly sensitive nose, but it’s not dull either.
We will be looking at the following scents: Vapibirthday, Purple Cow, Funnel Cake, Cotton Candy, Cherry Pie and Dreamsicle.
We have all 6 scents in Whipped Sugar Scrubs. Sugar Scrubs might be my favorite bath and body products from Vapid.
If you haven’t tried these yet – these are whipped, soap based sugar scrubs. The sugar is densely packed but the soap base makes it easy to pull out. They aren’t so dense that they are rock hard to grab a chunk. They have a light lather and feel wonderful in the shower.
You can also use these as a shaving exfoliator once the small sugar particles melt away. Don’t shave with the ones with coffee grounds in them though – those don’t melt away like the pure sugar ones do. None of the new ones have coffee grounds in them, so all are safe to use for shaving.
These are not oily and wash away clean with no residue.
I currently own these in Mermaid Tears, Hard Candy, Trash Can Punch , Fairy Sugar, Boardwalk, Rise & Shine. Coffeehouse Ice Cream, Rice Crispy Treats and Cap’n Crunk Loops! Of course I now own it in the 6 new scents as well.
All 6 scents in both 2 oz Moisturizing Body Mists & Purse Sprays, which are 0.25 oz mini spray bottles.
Moisturizing Body Mists are the newest body products to hit the Vapid line, and I adore them! They are fairly long lasting on me, but I also layer (I use Whipped Sugar Scrub, followed by matching body cream and finish with matching moisturizing body mist!)
These are highly scented, so only a spritz or two are really needed. The scents will change from month to month. They are alcohol free, and as I said – long lasting. I usually do a spritz to my body in the neck/chest area and a spritz in my hair.
And we have 5 of the 6 scents in body creams.
I have these body creams all over my house and at my work desk. The Vapid Body Creams are slightly thicker than a typical lotion, but thinner than a body butter. Only a little bit is needed, and it goes a long way! When used in small amounts it’s non greasy and soaks in fast to dry skin. My skin feels super soft and smells incredible when I use it!
And as I said previously – layer, layer, layer! I love layering the same scent in the various body products to make the scents last even longer!
We’ll look at each scent closer, and as I said, I’ll give my description of each scent.
Cotton Candy is a very sugar sweet pink cotton candy scent, but I get hints of berry in it. For me, this is an incredibly sweet scent and gets my sweet tooth zinging.
Funnel Cake is the scent my boyfriend and son are currently bargaining over for the Whipped Sugar Scrub. It’s more of a unisex scent and has a vanilla laced pastry scent with powdered sugar to sweeten it a bit more. Slightly sweet, not overpowering though.
This year Cherry Pie replaced the previous Cherry Snow Cone scent.
Cherry Pie has a sweet and very very slightly tart cherry scent with underlying pastry vanilla scent. It’s sweet, but not overly so. The pastry vanilla scent mellows out the slight tart pitch it has.
Purple Cow is every grape lovers dream. On my initial whiff, it reminded me of grape Big League Chew Gum. Krys responded and mentioned grape soda, and that triggered the actual scent I was getting! It’s like a Grape Soda Float! Whiffs of vanilla ice cream with fizzy grape soda.
My son also really likes this one, but it comes second to Funnel Cake for him.
Dreamsicle will take you back! This is the perfect orange popsicle with vanilla scent. It’s the perfect mix, so neither really overpower each other. The sugary orange citrus is nicely mellowed out with the vanilla.
Finally we have Vapibirthday! To me, Vapibirthday smells like vanilla cake with mellowed out blue raspberry. There was a hint of something in it that I couldn’t place though. When someone asked in the Vapicorns Facebook Group – Krys said it was watermelon, blueberries and birthday cake. Once she said that – I took another sniff and watermelon was the scent I couldn’t place, and now I actually do smell the blueberries over the blue raspberry.
It’s a very unique scent and really fun.
Vapid Lacquer Vapibirthday Bath & Body Overview
So now I’ve given my thoughts on all 6 scents! I’ll personally be attempting to snag 1 of each Nail Sauce as well as Vapibirthday Body Cream. I might also snag another Funnel Cake Whipped Sugar Scrub so my boyfriend and son can each have one (might need to pick up 2 so I also get one!)
In order of my top picks (this was hard because I did enjoy them all!) would be: Vapibirthday, Purple Cow, Dreamsicle, Funnel Cake, Cherry Pie and then Cotton Candy.
Along with the shown products, you’ll also find these scents in Nail Sauces and Wax Melts.
There are more surprises that have yet to be announced, so head over to the Vapid Lacquer Facebook Fan Group to keep an eye on updates. More information will be provided a week before restock.
