A new Stardust Collaboration released this morning, and I finally have a moment to post my swatches for it. So we’re gonna look at the Stardust Collaboration for June 2020 with a theme of Space!
This is the first month that a guest maker is joining Ethereal Lacquer and Kathleen & Co! Bee’s Knees is here for the Space theme.
The Stardust Collaboration is still fairly new. This is the third release and basically .. Stardust will be a fun little set with shimmer and possibly multichromes. Ethereal Lacquer and Kathleen & Co are the constants within the box, and as I said – for the first time they have a third brand joining in – Bee’s Knees Lacquer.
Let’s take a look. These released this morning, so there’s still plenty of time to snag yours.
Ethereal Lacquer | I Need Space
I Need Space is a pastel neon orange jelly base loaded with red to copper to green shifting shimmer. This has a super glowy quality to it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Kathleen & Co | Orion Nebula
Orion Nebula is a bright fuchsia pink base loaded with blue to purple to red shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Two things on this:
1. Kathleen & Co does say to use a good base with this, as it may cause staining. I did not experience staining – but we’re all different, so better safe than sorry.
2. Some brushstrokes are visible. I don’t know if it’s the polish itself or the fan blowing directly at me as I was painting which sped up the drying process and could have made them more pronounced.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Space Is The Place
Space Is The Place is a soft blue leaning teal crelly base with pink to yellow to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Stardust Collaboration June 2020 | Space
Usually when you see “Space” as a theme, you expect deeper colors – so it was a nice little change to have some brightness instead.
