Core Colors Release

It’s been one of those weeks, and while it is coming to a close – I have a very busy weekend ahead of me. We’re clearing out the house plus tax season due dates were pushed back when everything got shut down, and guess what’s coming up? That’s right – July 15th is basically the new tax day – so everything has been busy.

Tonight I have 3 posts I’m doing – but we’re starting off with the Vapid Lacquer Core Colors Release.

For many of you – these all look familiar. They randomly make appearances in the Vapid shop through launches, but now they are all coming back together.

The timing for this was kind of funny. I am doing the first blog sale I’ve ever done – and basically purging thousands of polishes (can’t take em all with me.. only allowing myself 2 from each brand) so 4 of these holos were purged. They were among the first to get snapped up. Then 2 days later I get a package from Krys… and here they are again. I knew Krys had a launch planned, but I had no idea it was going to be these ones.

For those curious – the 2 Vapid’s I’m keeping are the original release of Ride or Die and the original Spellcaster (in the round bottle)

So let’s jump into the post and look at these polishes.

Vapid Lacquer | Cryogenic Refrigerant

Cryogenic Refrigerant is a strong silver linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Bombshell

Bombshell is a pink leaning red creme based linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bombshell is a reworked version of the original Conquest. Not the Conquest released in 2018. Krys made a whoopsie and used the name Conquest without realizing what she had done. So to avoid further confusion, the reworked version is now Bombshell.

Vapid Lacquer | Mistrust

Mistrust is a slightly pink toned grape purple linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Original Sin

Original Sin is a raspberry pink linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Polarize

Polarize is a deep navy blue linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Optimist

Optimist is a pure white creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Pessimist

Pessimist is a pure black creme. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Core Colors Release

It’s fun to see the old gang together again. I had no application issues and it’s nice to see some straight up linear holographic shades again. I love polish – I have nothing against other polishes. But sometimes after seeing all the “kitchen sink” polishes, it’s nice to see simplistic shades with a vibrant base color.
