Stardust Collaboration January 2022 | Viva Las Vegas!

It’s been a bit since Stardust Collaboration put out a box… and after a much needed break – they are back! The Stardust Collaboration for January 2022 is Viva Las Vegas!

I feel like a lot of time has passed by and it warrants an explanation on the box. I don’t know how often these will be done. I know at one time it was monthly – and there was talks of every other month… and I think that’s what they are going with? Heck – this might be a “whenever inspiration strikes” box. We’ll see.

Basically – this will be a box of (usually) 3 polishes. The 2 main makers are Rogue Lacquer and Kathleen & Co, and then there will be a guest maker. The guest maker for January 2022 is Bluebird Lacquer.

Each month there will be a theme – this month is Viva Las Vegas.

Stardust is all about the shimmer and multichrome. Each polish will have one or both finishes.

Also I got new backdrops. I’m still playing with them, but this is the first post featuring one of them. I got bored and had some amazon gift cards to burn.

For all photos I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base and Sweet & Sour Lacquer Gloss Sauce. I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I work during the day and weekend afternoons I’m with Nick and Jacob, so I do most swatching when the sun is setting or gone. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Ready for the review? These will be launching tomorrow – so be ready!

Rogue Lacquer | Vegas Baby

Vegas Baby is a metallic gold scattered holographic base with additional gold flecks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Kathleen & Co | Sin City

Sin City is a teal to blue to purple to gold shifting multichrome based linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade was surprisingly sheer on the first coat, but it did build up. I used 3 thin coats, but 2 thicker coats may work just as well.

Bluebird Lacquer | Giddy Up!

Giddy Up is a vibrant lilac toned violet jelly base with violet to blue shifting shimmer and scattered holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I’m assuming the choice of theme is related to Rogue Lacquer’s upcoming nail event in Vegas! I unfortunately will not be there, but I’m exciting to see pics from it.

I’m so, so utterly in love with the Bluebird shade!!!
Unfortunately the shipping cost to Canada is abhorrent –
$20 shipping for just 3 polishes is just too steep for me.
(I’m not blaming the makers – I’m whining about the increase in general shipping costs that really sting us in Canada ‍♀️)

If I were making a larger purchase, then $20 is kinda average these days.

It really is a beautiful box this month & I may end up eating my words because of my *NEED* for the Bluebird Lacquer shade ‍♀️

Tysm for the always awesome swatches Lisa!

I recently shipped something to Canada and I yelped a little when I saw the cost. I really wish things were easier to get to you all!
