The Skin Regime 1-4-All Peel Review

by Lisa Heath

There are a lot of scary terms in the beauty world.  I know some I hear and think “Holy crap… people DO that?”.  One of those terms is pretty common… a Face Peel.

I started doing Face Peels about a year ago now, and to read my thoughts on my first experience – check it out HERE (which was also with The Skin Regime!)

The 1-4-All Peel is a gentler way of doing a face peel.  Instead of a set strength which may be WAY too much for your skin, you can choose the level of intensity.  If you have sensitive skin then only apply 1 layer of 1-4-All Peel.  If you have tough as nails skin, you can go clear on up to 4 layers of the peel.  I don’t have super sensitive skin, but it isn’t tough either, so I settle on either 2-3 layers depending on how my skin is acting when I do the peel.

To apply, I simply use a cotton round or cotton ball.  Make sure you use a mild cleanser on your skin first to clean off any gunk that may have built up over the course of the day.

What can you expect?  Based on 2 layers, you will feel a mild tingling to start and over 3 minutes (the amount of time I leave it on) it will build up to feeling like tiny pin pricks over your skin (not as uncomfortable as it sounds).  If you get a full on burning feeling – rinse off immediately.  Odds are you went above your level of intensity as far as layers go or peels just aren’t for you (which is also entirely possible).

If you have problems such as cystic acne, open lesions, rosacea, eczema or problems similar, you really should consult a dermatologist before starting ANY peel!

The Skin Regime book is also a good read for those with skin issues that are at a loss of what to do!  The book tells the truth about beauty products and skin care, explaining why most products are junk and can be a huge waste of time and money.

You can purchase The Skin Regime – Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin on Amazon HERE .  It is available in both paperback ($8.96) as well as Kindle Edition ($8.51)

I’ve been doing this particular peel now for a little over a month and there are subtle improvements to my skin overall.  My skin appears brighter and healthier.  I apply the peel every other week on a Friday night.  I prefer this method since I can control the intensity based on my skin at that point in time rather than constantly use something that’s too mild or too strong.

Have a question?  Feel free to ask on The Skin Regime Facebook Page!  The lovely lady behind the book and brand is very passionate about her products and answers questions or concerns you may have!

Peels do sound scary, but I think I should go for it one of these days!

I should read this Boot Camp book. My skin is a mess! That peel sounds nice…when I worked at a full-service spa, I got facials with peels regularly and it was so nice!
