How is it already time to reveal the September 2016 Magic 8 Box? Seems like I JUST showed you the July one!

The Magic 8 Box Greetings From Around The World Main

The September 2016 Magic 8 Box theme is Greetings From Around the World! So each polish is a different greeting from a different country. I knew most of these, but some were actually new to me!

Here’s the breakdown for the Magic 8 Box (if you are new to it): it will contain products from 8 brands. 4 will be permanent brands (Philly Loves Lacquer, Smokey Mountain Lacquers, Rica and My Indie Polish) as well as 4 guest makers. For September the guest brands are Scofflaw Nail Varnish, Drip Drop Nail Paint, Lollipop Posse Lacquer and Doctor Lacquer.

Let’s see the different greetings and the polishes that go with them.

Philly Loves Lacquer Shalom Aleichem

Philly Loves Lacquer Shalom Aleichem

Philly Loves Lacquer Shalom Aleichem is the greeting in Israel. This is a vibrant blue crelly with silver holographic micro flecks, holographic microglitter and a dusting of holographic shimmer for good measure. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Smokey Mountain Lacquers Bonjour

Smokey Mountain Lacquer Bonjour

Smokey Mountain Lacquers took on France’s greeting – Bonjour! Bonjour is a grey crelly with slight taupe undertones with gold shimmer and pink to red to orange iridescent micro flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This polish was a little on the thicker side, but not too difficult to work with. I had slight self leveling issues as a result.

My Indie Polish Bom Dia is the greeting in Portugal. Bom Dia is a periwinkle blue crelly base with metallic blue micro glitter, purple and silver micro flakes, pink shimmer and iridescent microflakes all mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Kveðjur

Scofflaw Polish Kveojur

Scofflaw Nail Varnish chose Iceland’s greeting for her inspiration – and it’s Kveðjur! This is a pastel teal crelly base with maroon, lavender, turquoise and purple glitter and a subtle shimmer throughout. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My camera brightened this shade a little bit, so it’s a bit more toned down in person.

September 2016 Magic 8 Box Overview

September 2016 Magic 8 Box

I found the theme for this box really interesting. Personally, I only knew about 4 of these greetings so I learned something new doing this post! I also got to try out Drip Drop Nail Paint for the first time, and definitely a new to me brand I’ll have to check out.

As far as application goes, none of these polishes were too difficult to work with. I found the Smokey Mountain Lacquer shade to be a tad on the thick side which resulting in self leveling issues, so I’ll add a couple drops of polish thinner to it. It’s a gorgeous color and it’s definitely not impossible – so still worth it!

You know that moment when you’re cleaning out an old bag and you find some money you forgot about? I need that to happen to me, right now, with $60. Because this box looks AMAZING!

I often visit your blog and have noticed that you don’t update
it often. More frequent updates will give your website
higher authority & rank in google. I know that writing articles takes a lot of time, but
you can always help yourself with miftolo’s tools which will shorten the
time of creating an article to a couple of seconds.
