Quick NOTD: China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise with HITS Hefesto Top Coat

by Lisa Heath

I haven’t actually used China Glaze Turned up Turquoise yet, so tonight was the night to use it.  Turned Up Turquoise is a bright turquoise that dries matte.  I’m not a huge fan of the color when it dries so I would most likely use a shiny top coat every time.  I decided to use HITS Hefesto top coat over it to turn China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise into a gorgeous holographic polish.

I said it last time I used it, but I’ll say it again – I need a backup or 2 of HITS Hefesto!!  HITS Hefesto is a gorgeous silver holographic top coat that CAN be layered a few times along for a silver holographic look, or layered over any polish to transform that polish into a holo.  I used 2 coats of HITS Hefesto for this look.  Besides the effect it gives, another thing I love about HITS Hefesto is that it hardens your nails (seriously mine feels stronger than they have in a LONG time right now.. like they use to when I had acrylics on) and they feel silky smooth.  Amazing.

Here is the end result!

Love this combo!  Can’t wait to see what I will top with HITS Hefesto next time!  Probably a nice vibrant purple!

You can find China Glaze in most Beauty Stores, I found mine on Tonynail.com for $2.99.

HITS Hefesto was purchased by me in Llarowe’s shop for $10.00.
