Today I have the Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection to share with you! This is a stunning selection of 6 holographic infused shades named after your favorite Happy Hour drinks.
Along with the new shades, Pretty & Polished will also be releasing an assortment of new Cocktail inspired Bath & Body Products, including Mani Melt Shooters scented and named after popular shots.
First I’ll show you the Happy Hour collection and then descriptions of the new Bath & Body items added for this release.
Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection Sangria Swatch
Sangria is a medium red jelly packed with red holographic micro glitters. I reached full opacity in just 2 coats and a thick top coat to smooth everything out.
Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection Appletini Swatch
Appletini is a neon green creme with a strong tightly scattered holographic effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection Purple Nurpl Swatch
Purple Nurpl is easily one of my favorites from this collection. It is a deep purple jelly base with an assortment of multicolored holographic glitters mixed in so you get different sparks of color swimming in the dark purple base. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection Tequila Sunrise Swatch
Tequila Sunrise is a thermal shade with a golden scattered holographic effect.
Tequila Sunrise is a drink that is red on the bottom and orange on the top
So Pretty & Polished did a thermal to mimic the drink! Tequila Sunrise is an orange jelly changes to a red orange jelly when exposed to cold. The photos above and directly below show Tequila Sunrise in it’s warm state, and under the macro directly below, you will see Tequila Sunrise in it’s cold state. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The shift is incredibly subtle and hard to capture, but in person you will see the 2 shades distinctly.
Long Island Iced Tea
Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection Long Island Iced Tea Swatch
Long Island Iced Tea is a coppery brown with gold holographic microglitters mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection Cosmopolitan Swatch
Cosmopolitan is a bright medium pink jelly packed with pink and purple holographic glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection Overview
I like the range of colors within the collection, almost like a transition from Summer to Fall as you go from the lush orange, green and pink to the deeper purple, red and brown. I had good application with all 6 shades and recommend a nice thick top coat (I used Girly Bits Glitter Glaze) for Cosmopolitan, Purple Nurpl, Sangria and Long Island Iced Tea since those have micro glitters which give off a very slight texture once try.
