OPI Peanuts Collection for Halloween 2014 Swatches & Review

Press Sample

OPI is putting out a Limited Edition collection this year for Halloween… and it’s Peanuts by OPI!  This is a small 4 piece collection, but it’s the perfect shades to represent Peanuts.

Peanuts by OPI has 2 cremes and 2 glitters within it.  Lets take a closer look at each shade.

Good Grief!

Good Grief

Good Grief is a vibrant, sunny yellow.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos, and the first 2 coats were a touch streaky.  The 3rd evened out well though.

Where’s My Blanket???

Wheres My Blanket

Where’s My Blanket??? is a glitter top coat packed with black hex glitters in various sizes as well as pastel orange and pastel yellow hex glitters.  I used 1 coat over Good Grief!

The Perfect Black Creme.  This sucker is glossy and gorgeous.  I used 2 coats for these photos and had no application issues at all.

To Be Or Not To Beagle

To Be Or Not To Beagle

To Be Or Not To Beagle is kind of hard to see on my black base, and I realize that now.  I’ll have to redo that when I’m back from vacation, so very sorry for that judgement call.

To Be Or Not To Beagle is a colorful mix of pastel yellow, pastel orange, red, blue, light blue and white  hex glitters.  It also has black micro bar and micro hex glitters.  You can kind of see them overlapping the colored hexes.  I used 1 coat over Who Are You Calling Bossy?!?

Peanuts

As you saw up top, I had to do some Charlie Brown like nails!

Overview

I was impressed with the formula of all 4 shades.  The black is perfection and the yellow is incredibly wearable.  Both glitters have great glitter distribution and the dabbing method isn’t needed to distribute.  I think it’s a super cute collection!

This collection confuses me. For it being Peanuts and for Halloween, it is a big let down. Where is the orange to represent the Great Pumpkin? Everyone that knows anything about Peanuts knows about this classic television special. I also don’t understand the colour choice for Where’s My Blanket?!? Linus’ blanket is blue, so why is it a glitter top coat with black, orange and yellow glitters? When I first heard of this collection, I had intended to get all the colours as I love Peanuts and Halloween, but this collection feels like someone just randomly through a few colours together and called it a day. Your swatches are gorgeous though!

I absolutely love the nail art you did to represent the collection. Completely Charlie Brown! Too cute! <3

I love the little collection and wish it were available online but not yet. I agree they should have done an orange as well to represent the Great Pumpkin and bring more Halloween into it but we can’t control Opi. I’m sill hoping to get the full size and mini if they become available online some where
