OPI Summer 2017 California Dreaming Collection

Press Sample Tonight I have the OPI Summer 2017 California Dreaming Collection to share with you! I was excited when I saw the inspiration behind this collection since California is my home state. I’ve actually been to most of the places behind these polishes as well. Much like the Spring 2017 Collection, I was sent the collection in the Infinite Shine formula rather than the normal formula. Personally I prefer the Infinite Shine formula, but I do have to say a few of the shades in this Summer 2017 collection didn’t seem like the typical smooth Infinite Shine formula I’m use to.  However, I do find the application between the OPI Infinite Shine formula and the normal nail lacquer formula to be a bit different, so please keep that in mind if you choose to purchase these in the normal lacquer formula. My thoughts and experiences on these shades might differ from…

OPI Spring 2017 Fiji Collection

Press Sample Tonight I have the OPI Spring 2017 Fiji Collection to share with you! OPI sent out the Infinite Shine versions of the Fiji collection, but from what I can tell they are the same as the normal lacquers for this collection. However, I do find the application can be different and I prefer the application of the Infinite Shines to the normal ones. The brushes are wider and overall I have less issues. The lovely Karen over at ManiGeeks has the lacquer version of the OPI Fiji Collection, so pop on over there and check them out for that formulation. I do find her and I to generally be in agreement on application. She will also have a comparison post up tomorrow Karen’s comparison post is up too, so check it out HERE. So if you want to see how these stack up to previous shades, make sure you take…

OPI Fall 2016 Washington DC Collection

Press Sample of OPI Fall 2016 Washington DC Collection I still can’t believe Fall collections are rolling out already. Didn’t Summer just start? Why am I back to school shopping already? This is crazy! If you happen to be ready for Fall (I’m not) then I have the OPI Fall 2016 Washington DC Collection to share with you now! The OPI Fall 2016 Washington DC Collection is chock full of cremes that all scream “FALL!” When I first opened the package up and took a look, I was kind of “meh” but as I worked on them, several grew on me. This collection was made as a collaboration with Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominated actress Kerry Washington, recently named as OPI’s first-ever Creative Ambassador. Washington worked closely with OPI co-founder and brand ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann to develop and name this collection of dramatic, sophisticated interpretations of classic fall hues. Let’s dive right into…

OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2016 Collection

Press Sample of OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2016 Collection OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2016 Collection is all about the neutrals. Designers like to incorporate neutrals into their looks to give them an edgy look, like skirts and crop tops, and OPI decided to bring that same muted perfection to nails. I do like neutrals. They are great palette cleansers, especially in a sea of neons and brights during the summer months. Like most colors though, some work with my skin tone and some don’t. Some of these shades looked really nice on me, while others gave me lobster hands. I do wish they had some slightly deeper neutrals though. What is the difference between OPI Infinite Shines and OPI GelColors?  Infinite Shine shades do not require a light system to cure, but the top coat does harden and “cure” overtime in natural lighting. You don’t need to do the soak…

OPI Retro Summer 2016 Collection

Press Sample of OPI Retro Summer 2016 Collection OPI recently released the 2016 Summer Brights collection, and shortly after I received the OPI Retro Summer 2016 collection to show you. They released them back to back it seems, but I’m not one to complain about polishes releasing at all. The more the merrier in my opinion. So above are the 6 shades in the OPI Retro Summer 2016 Collection. At first glance, nothing that hasn’t been released before – so if you’ve been around collecting polishes for awhile, these probably don’t excite you much. If you are newer to the polish craze, then you will probably really love these colors. Formula however I was disappointed with. They weren’t impossible, but I needed 3 coats for all 6 shades. Not because of chalkiness or typical pastel issues, but surprisingly enough the issue was they were thin and slightly watery. I don’t…
