Chemical Free.  Cruelty Free.  Concern Free.

Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?  Well then keep reading!

Nourish Organic approached me to do a review of some of their products and when I looked over their site, I was thrilled to do a review for them!  On top of that, they have offered to sponsor a giveaway as well for 3 of their sets to 3 lucky readers!  And trust me when I say Lucky Readers!  Check out the bottom of the post to enter the giveaway!

Nourish Organic is a completely organic and chemical free bath and body product company that  says: What goes on your skin ultimately gets absorbed into your system. That’s why we believe that you shouldn’t put anything on your body that you wouldn’t put into your mouth, and for us that means food-grade, 100% USDA-certified organic ingredients and nothing more. That said, we are proud to have been the first company in the world to develop USDA-certified organic beauty products that are made with only nutrient-rich fruits, vegetables, and plant extracts.

Nourish Organic products contain No parabens. No phthalates. No sulfates, petrochemicals, synthetic dyes or silicones. No propylene glycol, mineral oils, synthetic dyes, triclosan, EDTA or aluminum. And absolutely no artificial fragrances or preservatives.   Usually when a company boasts anything similar to this, the cost is through the roof!  Not Nourish Organic!  It’s affordable, especially if you grab one of the Value Sets!

I received A Nourish Organic Value Set in the Almond Vanilla scent.  What I noticed right away is that is smells amazing, but it isn’t overpowering!  your senses aren’t assaulted by fake smelling scents at all.  It’s a very light and refreshing scent that lingers.  The Value Set consists of 4 products: Body Wash, Body Lotion, Body Butter and Hand Wash.  I’ve been using these products for almost a week now and I didn’t have any type of reaction to them.

Lets go through each product now!

Nourish Organic Almond Vanilla Body Wash

As I stated above, the scent isn’t overpowering.  It’s a very lovely scent and doesn’t smell sugary sweet at all.  No kiddie vanilla here!  It lathers well (not as much as commercial body washes, but it does lather) and I felt clean and fresh after using it.  The scent from the body wash did linger after the shower and it didn’t wash down the drain with the body wash itself.

Nourish Organic Body Lotion

I’m a huge lotion fan.  I have tons of bottles all over the place.  I have been using Nourish Organic Body Lotion and it soaks in fairly quick and doesn’t leave behind a greasy, slick feeling.  I’ve been using it on my hands throughout the day and my hands have been feeling incredibly soft.  I sort through a lot of paper at work so I have to be careful with what type of lotions I use.  Can’t leave a greasy residue on client documents!  Big no no!  No worries with Nourish Organic Body Lotion!

Nourish Organic Almond Vanilla Body Butter

My body has some dry spots that need more than just Body Lotion.  Most notably – my heels,  elbows, knees and my hands.   Body Butter is a huge help with this!  I’ve been using the Nourish Organic Body Butter at night before bed and it soaks in quickly and each morning those problem areas get a little smoother each time!  I do add Body Butter on my elbows and knees after my shower as well for some added moisture!  This also makes an amazing shaving cream for the legs!  Left my legs so smooth and a nice close shave!

Nourish Organic Hand Wash Almond Vanilla

The Nourish Organic Hand Wash has aloe, Shea Butter and quinoa protein to wash away dirt without drying out your hands.  We currently have it sitting at the bathroom sink and everyone in the house is loving it!

Nourish Organic Almond Vanilla Deodorant

Now, the Nourish Organic Deodorant is not part of the Value Set, but it was sent for review along with the Value Set and in the same Almond Vanilla scent.  This weekend has been REALLY hot.  So far, Nourish Organic Deodorant has been doing a great job.  My underarms have stayed dry and have had a faint almond vanilla scent all weekend.  Seriously, this weekend was an ultimate test for it.

Overall, I am really loving the Nourish Organic set!  Like I’ve said, I think it’s great that they are chemical free and that the scent isn’t a strong synthetic vanilla.  The price is great too!  The 4 piece Value Set is only $30.37!  I also think the packaging is cute, yet simple!

I’ll do a breakdown of prices as well in case you are interested in one of two of the items!

Nourish Organic Body Wash: $9.99 for a 10 fl oz (295mL) bottle

Nourish Organic Body Lotion: $9.99 for an 8 fl oz (236 ml) tube

Nourish Organic Body Butter: $9.99 for a 3.6 oz (102 g) tub

Nourish Organic Hand Wash: $7.99 for a 7 fl oz (207 ml) pump bottle

Almond and vanilla are two of three scents I can tolerate (lemon is the third), but unscented is always best! It’s guaranteed to not screw with my nose or anyone else’s.

I have a weird fixation with anything Lavender Mint so thats my choice!

Kate K June 30, 2013 - 5:59 pm

Vanills is my go-to scent, but I’ve found that almond lotion tends to sink in faster. To find both scents together is amazing!

Thanks for the giveaway and review. I’m particularly curious about the deodorant, but every natural one I’ve tried ended up dyeing the underarm area of my shirts, so I’m not sure I’m ready to take the plunge yet on another one.

Niki T. June 30, 2013 - 6:14 pm
