Initial Lacquer has released a summer collection named A Something In A Summer’s Day and sent me the collection to review… and a couple extras!  Today’s post will contain all 7 polishes available from the A Something In A Summer’s Day Collection plus 3 more swatches of polishes she has available!

Since this is going to be a photo heavy post – I’ll cut the chatter and start on the photos!

First I’ll show A Something In A Summer’s Day Collection, then the 3 extras I’m sure you will love!

Pink Lemonade:

20130629-181522.jpg

Pink Lemonade is a bright neon pink with small purple glitters scattered throughout.  I only needed 2 coats for this photo and a shiny top coat.  Application was a dream for this polish!

Something Simple:

20130629-181553.jpg

Something Simple is one of my favorites from this collection!  Mainly because I don’t have too many like it in my collection!  Something Simple is a white jelly base with grey, silver, holo and iridescent glitters mixed in!  I used 3 coats for this photo.  Such a simple and elegant polish!

Look at the light bouncing off the iridescent glitters!  Love this!

Something Complicated:

20130629-181633.jpg

Another favorite from the collection!  Something Complicated is a black jelly base with multicolored square and hex glitter mixed in.  I used 1 coat of Something Complicated over piCture pOlish Aphrodisiac for this photo, but you can layer Something Complicated over itself as well for more depth!

Seriously – it’s gorgeous.  Get it.

Rainbow Sands:

20130629-181545.jpg

Rainbow Sands is a pretty neon matte glitter top coat!  The main neon matte glitter is pink, and there is blue and yellow neon matte glitters mixed in, but the pink is definitely the dominate color for this one!  Easy to apply and work with, I only needed 1 coat of Rainbow Sands and I used it over Initial Lacquer Haro Blue (which you will see more of later in the post!)

Sunflower Garden:

20130629-181612.jpg

Sunflower Gardens.  I love this one.  Unfortunately yellows and I have a love/hate relationship.  I tend to love them in the bottle, they hate me when I put them on.  My skintone just does NOT play well with yellow!  Sunflower Garden is a yellow crelly base with black, white, and blue hex glitter and pink square glitters.  I used 2 coats for this photo and it was easy to work with.

Candy Pool:

20130629-181643.jpg

Candy Pool is another one that doesn’t get along with my skin tone.  And before I describe it – I swear to you the bubbles are from my top coat!  This is the last polish in the set I swatched and I was out of both my KBShimmer Clearly On Top as well as my HK Girl top coat… so I went to my cheap back up.  I’m sorry.  Anyways, Candy Pool is an orangish yellow crelly base with a lot going on.  There are white circles, pink, purple and yellow neon hexes, bright blue bar glitters, neon yellow square glitters… and I think that’s it.  I used 2 coats for this photo and while I love the crazy mix, it doesn’t work with my skin tone.   Ignore the bubbles, thats not the polish (just making sure you’re aware.)

The label either didn’t make it on or got lost somewhere – sorry!

Strawberry Festival:

20130629-181602.jpg

Another favorite in the collection!  This sorta reminded me of Something Simple, but with a pop of pink!  Strawberry Festival is a light pink (almost white) crelly base with small white glitters, pale mint hex glitters, micro neon pink glitter and large neon pink hex glitters.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out I didn’t need to fish for the large glitters!

That wraps up A Something on A Summer’s Day Collection!  Now onto the bonus colors I was sent!  I love Love LOVE these as well!

Haro Blue:

20130629-181535.jpg

Haro Blue made an appearance earlier in the post (it was the base for Rainbow Sands!) and here it is in all it’s naked glory!  Haro Blue is a dusty blue with a gorgeous aqua and silver shimmer within!  Seriously freaking GORGEOUS!  I only used 2 coats for this!

Beautiful!

Neon Me:

20130629-181509.jpg

Neon Me is a very pale milky mint base with white matte rectangle and hex glitter along with lavender mini square glitters and neon pink square glitters.  I love this one as well!  I used 2 coats for this and a top coat.

The Night Circus:

20130629-181624.jpg

Last but not least is The Night Circus!  This is another crazy mix of glitter in a sheer dark blue base!  It contains orange mini bar glitters, neon yellow, pink and blue hex glitters, small holo hex glitters, and micro blue glitters.  I used 1 coat over Sinful Colors Most Sinful, but you can layer The Night Circus on its own as well!

And that wraps up all 10 polishes I was sent for review!  WHEW!

Overall – I liked the selection of polishes.  I really loved that they were so different from each other!

My top pics of the 10 are Haro Blue, Something Simple, Something Complicated and Pink Lemonade!

All 10 of these polishes are now available in the Initial Lacquer Etsy Shop!

Initial Lacquer Polish is $9.00 for a full size bottle and $4.50 for a mini bottle

Make sure you check out reviews and swatches as well as store info on the Initial Lacquer Facebook Page

Farm soil on account of overuse and there might not become a higher sufficient
