NOTD – Chanel Malice
About a month ago I won a contest for a video review I did and received a $50 Nordstroms Gift Card as a prize! I went shopping online and decided to use a chunk of the gift card on Chanel Malice! Although I love polish, I can’t justify spending so much on a single polish if the money was coming out of my bank account. As much as I would love to… I just don’t make enough money at work to be able to spend that freely, and I wasn’t really celebrating anything to rationalize it as a gift for myself.
So, here is today’s Nail Of The Day! Chanel Malice! Also, I apologize for the cruddy cleanup and the blue splotches here and there… Cult Nails Time Traveler stained a couple spots. I would photoshop them out, but I don’t edit photos, and I’m not about to start now! So.. what you see is what you get with my pics!
Malice:
I am really loving the dark colors on my shorter nails. They have grown out a bit and I think I’ll be filing them down again this weekend. Malice is a beautiful blackened red that glows. It’s stunning. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat.
It’s pretty in the pics, but even more stunning in person. So glad I got a gift card because there is no way I would have purchased this on my own.
If you love this color and have OPI Royal Rajah Ruby – I have heard they are similar! Not quite dupes, but very close.

This is the one that finally made me break down and buy a Chanel. I kept hoping someone would dupe it like they did Paradoxal and Peridot, but apparently not enough of the polish junkies are hooked on reds like I am. Since it’s LE, I finally caved (at 3am, while the DH was sleeping lol, not that he minded, but the self imposed guilt at paying that much for a polish lololol). Now I’m steadfastly NOT looking at Chanel posts from anyone. ;)
