I have another fabulous Mentality matte collection on the blog today! I know I’ve been quiet a bit more than usual, but work is picking up (tax season!) so I’ve been super busy!
Today I will be showing you the Red Mattes Collection! These 5 shades are perfect for Valentine’s Day – or for any red lover!
As usual, the first photo in each set will show the polish as a matte and the second photo is what the same shade looks like with top coat on!
Lovely
Lovely is a pretty deep pink matte with a hint of red shimmer. I used 2 coats for this photo.
Grace
Grace is a medium soft red matte. I used 2 coats for this photo.
Beautiful
Beautiful is a bright medium red matte. I used 2 coats for this photo.
Stunning
Stunning is a darker, bright red matte polish. I used 2 coats for this photo.
Allure
Allure is a dark burgundy red matte. I used 2 coats for this photo
The Red Mattes Ombre Mani
Here are all 5 shades used in one mani! Such a beautiful set!
And of course – with a top coat!
Overview
All 5 of these mattes were almost 1 coat polishes. Each one looks great with or without top coat and the shimmer that comes out with top coat is just magnificent! I had no staining issues, and like with all of the Mentality mattes, application was easy, dry time was quick and the pigmentation was excellent!

It’s almost worth getting the whole Red Matte collection just to be able to reproduce your amazing ombre mani! I’ve been eyeing Beautiful but this post makes me think I may need Stunning and Allure as well. Do you have a favorite amongst these five? Great post and I LOVE your new Swatch Gallery!
Stunning was probably my absolute favorite of the 5, but it’s hard to choose! So glad you love the gallery as well! Nick put a lot of work into it :D
These are so beautiful! I looooove how you can wear them as matte or glossy….I would probably top coat them myself :)
