Ready for another stunning Fall collection? Up next is GlitterDaze The Marie Antionette Collection. This is a 6 piece collection with lighter base colors, shimmer, sparkle and ultra chrome flakes. Absolutely stunning and a nice neutral shift into Fall with a little added flair.

These have already released, so you can grab them at anytime!

Chemise a la Reine

Chemise a la Reine is an off white base (it appears light grey because of all the shimmer, sparkle and flakes within it) with multicolor color shifting flakes and holographic sparkle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. This is possibly my favorite in the collection.

The Chemise a la Reine was a loose fitting garment introduced by Marie Antoinette in the late 1780s; it quickly became a popular fashion choice for upper class French women, who were used to tight and structured clothing.

Eat Cake

Eat Cake is a sparkly pink toned nude polish with pink to green to gold shifting flakes and gold holographic shimmer. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

GlitterDaze does have a warning on her website that this shade might lightly stain. I personally did not experience this, but please know it is a possibility.

The phrase “let them eat cake” is famous for being the last words of Marie Antoinette before she was beheaded. Historians claim that she did not say these words, and that her last words were, “I’m sorry sir, I did not mean to do it”- an apology to the executioner for stepping on his foot!

This is my next favorite! Louis is a light cornflower blue base filled with dark blue and purple colorshifting flakes, silver shimmer, and holographic silver sparkles. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

This shade was inspired by Marie Antoinette’s Husband Louis XVI

Off With Their Heads is a greige base (the gold makes it look a bit more beige) and gold to pink to bronze toned color shifting flakes, lots of reddish bronze shimmer and holographic gold sparkle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Marie Antoinette and her husband Louis XVI were both beheaded- Louis XVI for charges of foreign conspiracy, and nine months later Marie for charges of treason.

Reign Of Terror

Reign Of Terror is a mauve base with purple to gold to magenta to blue color shifting flakes as well as holographic shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Reign of Terror was violent time period in France after the French Revolution. This period began the same year that Louis and Marie were beheaded, along with many other “enemies of the revolution.”

Versailles is a light minty grey base full of green to blue color shifting flakes and holographic shimmer. I used 3 thin coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.

Marie Antoinette had a fairy-tale like village built for herself at the Palace of Versailles. Here, the queen and her ladies pretended to be milkmaids and shepherdesses and enjoyed “country life.”

GlitterDaze The Marie Antionette Collection Overview

GlitterDaze The Marie Antionette Collection

I’m a glitter and flakes fan, so this lovely neutral collection was a hit with me. While the bases are lovely, the added flair within each shade really made them perfect for me. These aren’t the deep, dark, vampy shades of Fall so it’s a nice transition collection to go from Summer to Fall with.

Price: $12.00 Each
