Teal All The Things

Last week I revealed my shade created with Firecracker Lacquer for The Color Box, and today I have a full review of The Color Box Teal All The Things!

Now I’ll admit, teal is a difficult color to do. It has many interpretations of the shade depending on who you ask. Overall though, I think this box came together nicely and has a nice assortment of shades ranging from borderline turquoise up to borderline blue. We all know that if we stuck to a basic teal it would get fairly boring and repetitive, I’m personally happy with how this box turned out.

Let’s look at each shade a little closer!

Manna’s Marvelous Masterpiece

Manna’s Marvelous Masterpiece was created by Manna of Manna’s Manis and Taryn of Anchor & Heart Lacquer. This is a light, vibrant teal crelly base with strong blue shimmer, gold flakes, and a soft linear holographic.I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Happy Birthday Teal Me

Happy Birthday Teal Me was created by Amanda of Amanda Loves Polish and Carrie of Darling Diva Polish. This is a light, almost pastel teal crelly packed with ultra chrome chameleon flakes, holographic shimmer and microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Merman, Pops, MerMAN

Merman, Pops, MerMAN is created by Hope of Starlight On My Mind and Julie of Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer. This is a medium bright teal with strong gold to copper shifting shimmer and flakies that shift from blue to violet to aqua. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Steal The One

Steal The One is created by Jen from Xoxo, Jen and Christy of KBShimmer. This is a rich teal holo with gold to copper shifting UCC flakies and a blue flame. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Teal The End Of Time

Last up is my creation with Kendahl of Firecracker Lacquer! My shade is a dark, heavily blue leaning teal jelly with pink shimmer flecks and a scattered holographic effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

You know those teals that are a pain in the butt to photograph because they don’t want to show the green tones? Yeah this is one of them.

The Color Box Teal All The Things Overview

This was a fun box to be a part of and I love how different all 5 shades are. When the voting for the color was taking place, I was sitting here like “no teal, no teal, no teal” and boom teal. It’s not that I dislike teal, I love it – but it’s hard to do variations on it and I thought the colors would turn out too close to each other, but really – the box has a nice variety on each blogger/maker take on teal.
