Christmas Tree String Lights

By now most of you should know that I love makeup, fragrance and of course, nail polish. What you might not know is that I also have a love for quirky things. Seriously, Nick can handle my cosmetic obsession (he created this blog for me after all) but one thing that always makes him shake his head a bit is the weird things I buy for it’s quirkiness. When I was approached by Ankit to do a review of a few of their items, I had to jump on it. Their site has a ton of things I would buy in a heartbeat.

The first item I’m going to share with you (I’ll have another post up hopefully tomorrow of some other goodies) is the Ankit Christmas Tree String Lights. I know it’s close to Christmas, so don’t worry – they do have other lights for everyday use. From straight colors to moons and stars to unicorns.

Now, I do blog, but most of you know I also have a full time job in an accounting firm, so I used the lights to spruce up my work monitors.

The string of lights are wire, so you can bend them and kind of move them around to your desired look. I did use a little tape to keep them in place since I tend to readjust my monitor height and angle. Each string is 15 feet long and contains about 45 lights.

There’s a closeup of the cute little Christmas trees.

Closeup of them lit up. Yeah I’m like a little kid and think these are awesome.

Each string has a battery pack and requires 3 AA batteries so they can be used virtually anywhere, indoor or outdoor. You can use them in your office, bedroom, car dashboard, porch… wherever.

I have had these on my monitors at work (like I said and showed) and I turned them on every morning at 8:30 am and off around 4:45 when I was getting ready to leave. The lights started dimming after about 2.5 weeks of continual weekly use. Really, that’s not too bad for running off of 3 AA batteries.

I think they are fun, festive and a nice addition to a work space this time of year.

They do have other colors and designs, so watch out Nick… I’ll probably be bringing another set home to decorate my workspace at home.

Price: $24.99

Ankit has a lot of fun, quirky items from those amazing mermaid like sequin pillows people are going nuts over to coffee mugs to music and tech items. If you have a quirky friend in your life (or are like me and get a kick out of these things) you should definitely check them out for gift ideas.

So what do you think? Are you into cute little things like this to get festive? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

I do have another post coming up soon featuring more goodies from Ankit, so stay tuned.

Too cute. When my son was young he strung lights everywhere he could. His room was a wonderland of lights. He’d still love this I’m sure.
