Zoya Magical PixieDusts Summer 2014 Swatches, Review & Giveaway

Zoya released 3 new collections for Summer 2014!  If you want jelly bases with iridescent glitters, then the Bubbly Collection is perfect for you! Don’t like glitters?  That’s ok, they also released the Tickled Collection which is a collection of vibrant cremes.  The third collection is the Magical PixieDusts which I am about to show you!

I’m sure by now a lot of you have tried Zoya’s PixieDust line, which are finely textured polishes.  Magical PixieDusts are also textured, but are chunkier than normal PixieDusts.  On top of the normal texture, they also contain medium sized holographic silver hex glitters to add to the texture feel.

Textures aren’t for everyone, and I certainly get that they are purely preference based.  I’ve loved textures since they were brought out, especially the sparkly ones!

Zoya Bar

Zoya Bar is a pale gold jelly based texture with silver holographic hexes throughout.  I used 2 coats for these photos, and no top coat as intended.  If you want to top coat it to smooth it though, be ready for at least 2 -3 coats of a thick top coat.

Zoya Arlo

Zoya Arlo is described as a violet amethyst jelly base, but I found it to be more of a deep rose color.  It contains silver holographic hex glitters within.  I used 2 thin coats of Arlo for these photos, but if you want to top coat it to smooth it out, it will take 2-3 coats of a thick top coat.

Zoya Ginni

Zoya Ginni is a sheer pink jelly based texture with silver holographic hex glitters mixed in.  I used 2 thin coats for these photos.  And again, if you want to smooth this shade out with top coat, it will take 2-3 coats of a thick top coat to do so.

Overview

As I’ve said time and time again, I do love texture shades, but I completely get why they aren’t for everyone.  These are chunkier than most I’ve used but the holo bits of glitter make these gorgeous and even more sparkly than normal.  I wouldn’t recommend trying to get pantyhose or delicate fabrics on while wearing these though as they can snag clothing (without top coat).
