Zoya Fall 2012 Gloss Collection Swatches and Review

I’m back with another Fall Collection to show you!  This time it’s the Zoya Fall 2012 Gloss Collection!  Zoya had 3 collections released for the Fall so I will be doing this one in 3 parts!  The Zoya Gloss Collection is the smaller collection of the group and consists of 3 Sheer Jelly colors!  I’m a HUGE fan of Jellies and I love the colors they chose for this!  Expect some jelly sandwich mani’s in the semi near future!

Now Zoya always has a special place in my heart.  When my blog was spankin new (we’re talking 2 – 3 weeks old) I did a water marble using a few of their polishes I snagged during their December promos, and not only did Zoya feature it on their blog, they ALSO sent me their 2012 Spring Collection to review!  So they were the first company to take a chance on me, and I’ll never forget that!

Ok onto the swatches!

Paloma:

I’m going to kick this off with my absolute FAVORITE of the group!  PALOMA!  This is a A sheer deep fuchsia-berry!  I used 3 coats for this photo.  I didn’t use a top coat, because I wanted to show off the glossy finish to it!  Coat 1 gets kind of scary.. it was so sheer and streaky looking I thought these were going to be a complete ‘miss’… but on second coat I knew I was wrong.  Paloma evened out, but I wanted it a little darker, so I went with coat #3.  I cannot WAIT to do a glittery jelly sandwich with this one!  I already have it planned out in my head!

Frida:

Frida was definitely my second favorite of the group, mainly because every jelly I own is in the pink or red family.  It wasn’t until I got this that I realized I don’t have a teal jelly .. at all!  Again, no top coat to show off the shine and I did 3 coats on this mani too.  I think it would be a touch better with 4 coats though and I’m kicking myself now for stopping at 3.

Katherine:

Katherine was my least favorite of the group (but I still loved her).  I don’t do deep vampy colors much which is the ONLY reason she came in 3rd.  Katherine is a sheer, dark, red-toned aubergine.  Now this one gave me a hard time just to receive.  When I got my goodie blogger package – I immediately smelled polish.  When I opened the box, there Katherine was – shattered and destroyed.  My heart sank.  Thankfully Zoya has some of the best Customer Service around (Thank you again Shelle!!) and a new bottle was in my hand not even a week later!  Back to the swatch – I used 3 coats and no top coat!

That wraps up the Zoya 2012 Gloss Collection for fall!  If you love jellies, you need this set!

Paloma looks FAB on you! Oh gosh! I love Frida. It is awesome because all the jellies I own are also in the red family (except the one orange I own).
