Zoya Beaded Manicure – So Not My Thing
There are a few things I was never interested in doing, the beaded manicure was one of them. I’m calling it a beaded manicure because I honestly don’t know what is acceptable to name it. A container of small beads was gifted to me in a birthday swap group along with some gorgeous polishes, so I decided “Why not?”
Usually I wouldn’t do this on a week night, but I have a day off from work tomorrow, so I went with it. I really wouldn’t wear this to work because the last thing I need is to hear “dink dink dink” across my desk if a bead comes loose.
For this mani I did 2 coats of Zoya LC (which I freaking LOVE) and then I used HK Girl as a top coat. Before HK Girl dried I dunked my ring finger into a tube of the beads. Surprisingly, enough stuck on the first “dunk” that I didn’t need to redo it. It does look better in person (not by much though).
Here’s some photos of my beaded accent nail:
I think I can say for certain that I will not be attempting this again, it really just isn’t my thing. It was easier than I thought it would be. Hats off to you ladies that make this look amazing and can rock this look. I am not one of them!
Now to figure out how to remove this with the least amount of mess. I’m pretty sure a few beads are already jumbling around in my keyboard…..

I would try the foil method, stat lol. The true sign of an addiction: I have the stuff to do this myself, but am not a fan of it lol.
It actually came off easily (yes it lasted all of 30 minutes). I kept saying I didn’t like it, but I felt I needed to try it to see if I changed my mind… I didn’t
I love it :)
Thank you Victoria!
I’m not a fan of this look either, but it doesn’t look half bad!
Thanks Michelle! It was easier than I thought, but just not for me
That texture would drive me nuts! I’d be picking the beads off inside the first five minutes.
It did drive me nuts – I was picking at them before the picture was taken
it’s not my thing either, but you did a great job with it!
Thank you Shannon!
It looks a little like fuzzy moss is growing on your nail. It’s interesting, but I can’t see wearing it long term either. Can you imagine picking beads out of the bed in the morning or trying to wash your hair and having red dandruff? No thanks!
