T3 Micro Twirl 360 Styling Iron Review #TWIRL360

Edited 11/07/2015 *Please note – This curling iron has been RECALLED! While I haven’t experienced anything bad with it, many have reported that the clamp breaks off while in use!*

A few weeks ago I received the T Micro Twirl 360 Styling Iron to play with a review.  If you’ve read previous hair posts of mine, I’m a minimalist when it comes to hair.  I air dry and usually just spritz some argan oil in my hair and go.  When I was younger though (pre child) I used curling irons, flat irons and blow dryers… and at one point even owned a crimper (I was born in the 80’s… that’s my excuse)

Once I had a child though, morning routines changed completely and instead of having an extra 30 minutes to do my hair and makeup, I used that extra time to get my son ready for day care or school.  I still do my makeup – but the hair took a hit.

I’ve been using the T3 Micro Twirl 360 Styling Iron and actually have been able to squeeze in a few extra minutes every morning to do my hair and test it out.  I’ve been happy with it!

Open Box t3

What’s so amazing about the T3 Micro Twirl 360 Styling Iron? You don’t have to turn the barrel because it will auto-rotate with motion sensor. The 1.25″ barrel easily creates stylish curls and even loose waves. Simply section your hair, clamp, turn wrist, release and finish. To use, just press the button under the clamp to start rotating. To change the direction just slightly rotate your wrist and it will detect the direction you want it to go.  It doesn’t need to be a big movement either, just a slight move and it goes the direction you want.

It is recommended you have at least shoulder length hair to use, so I barely squeak into this requirement with hair an inch longer than the requirement.

Before

Before

This is my hair normally.  Straight, air dry and product free (aside from argan oil)

Sorry I look a bit tired, I did this at the end of a long work day!

After

after

This is my results from the T3 Micro Twirl Styling Iron.  I got light, bouncy curls at the end.  The barrel is larger, so while I don’t have curls all the way up like I would with a thinner barrel, it still worked easily and was nice to use.  I also have more body going up to my roots.

The T3 Micro Twirl Styling Iron has 5 heat settings and 5 speed settings.  I used both at the lowest settings, which is recommended until you get use to it.  It heats up SUPER fast. I found the lowest settings to work perfectly for my preferences.

Overview

This is a super easy styling tool to use.  While I still don’t see myself using it in the morning before work too often, I will use it for easy, effortless body and curls for special occasions and nights out.

I will say it was a little nerve wracking to know I’d be having an automated heating device that close to my face (I’m a klutz), but when I used it, it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be.

Price: $230.00

Lisa, I loooooove the way your hair came out! Absolutely beautiful. You should really curl it from time to time.

I love how your curls look! And it does look like it gave you volume at your roots too! I am in the same wash and air dry hair routine…I have straight hair too and no volume at my roots, blah! I used to blow dry my hair with my head down and then use a ceramic brush with the hairdryer to blow it out for work…but now I have so much neck and shoulder pain that routine is no longer possible. Anyway, I tried to figure out how to win this from ifabbo as you mentioned but did not see anywhere to click to win? It didn’t mention anything on there blog or FB?…

I am glad you found something that you can use quickly to give yourself some body and curls! Thanks for sharing!

Your hair looks so shiny and healthy. I like that you can use it quickly and not add any heat damage to your hair.

Omgosh, your hair looks so pro with this curler! I styled mine with a T3 today, too, and got the most perfect beachy waves.
