Good afternoon and happy Saturday! Yesterday there were a lot of launches going on… and life just got busy this last week, so I didn’t get the posts up as intended. I did get the swatching done though. Last weekend I took some time off blogging and social media to spend it with Jacob, and we visited his grandparents, went to the movies, did some shopping – and it was much needed.

We celebrated a bit as well since his final report card came in and he completed his second year of Junior High on Honor Roll and ended with 4 A’s and 3 B’s. He worked hard all year, and between my full time job, blogging and helping him with homework and reports – it was busy for all of us – but he still got it done and .. I’m just a proud mom.

What I was most proud of was his Math grade. Math was never my strong point (so obviously it makes sense that I’ve worked in accounting firms for the last 17 years), and it’s his least favorite subject and he struggles HARD with it. There were many long nights of he and I trying to work out equations and figure his math out (that we generally pulled in Nick to help) and he ended the year with a 98.72% math grade.

Anyways, I’m incredibly proud of my child (who’s still sleeping…) but that’s not what you all are here to read. Today I’m going to be catching up on releases for this week, and we’re starting off with Starlight Polish By Request Collection!

This is a 6 piece collection, and each shade in it was originally created as customs – but they are now being released with the permission from the woman who commissioned the customs originally.

2 of the shades are “2.0” versions because there was a change in colorant suppliers so they aren’t exact supply wise to the original shades.

Almost all of these are really sheer on first coat, but build up nicely. On the very first coat… you’ll probably be like “oh hell” and think you need undies and you don’t if you are semi okay with visible nail line. They are jelly formulas so the odds of VNL are high already. However, after the second coat you do see it build really nice. Just giving warning that on first coat you might think it’s too sheer – but stick with it and it builds nicely.

So let’s jump in and take a look!

Starlight Polish | Plum Fire

Plum Fire is a sheer, medium plum purple with unicorn pee shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Fuchsia Fire

There are 3 red tones in this release, and Fuchsia Fire is probably my favorite. This is a candy like fuchsia jelly base with unicorn pee pigment. This appears very pink leaning red on me and it’s beautiful. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Slate Fire

Slate Fire is probably the most opaque shade in the collection. This is a dusty medium blue with unicorn pee pigment mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Cedar Fire

Cedar Fire is a swamp brown jelly base with unicorn pee pigment mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I realize swamp brown is probably not the most enticing shade description – BUT this green tinged murky brown actually gives the unicorn pee shimmer a platform to really stand out and they are lovely together.

Starlight Polish | Magical Micturition 2.0

Magical Micturition 2.0  is a sheer, cool toned pink jelly base with unicorn pee pigment. This is one of the reformulated shades. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is the sheerest of the 6 shades.

Starlight Polish | If You Piss Upon a Star 2.0

If You Piss Upon a Star 2.0 is a sheer warm coral pink with unicorn pee pigment. This is also reformulated. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Starlight Polish | By Request Collection

All of these are beautifully done, and I’m so happy that the original lady who commissioned them was open to having them released for all to enjoy. If I had to pick a single favorite – it would be Fuchsia Fire, however – Plum Fire and Cedar Fire are close runner ups.

The sheerest shades are Magical Micturition 2.0 and If You Piss Upon A Star 2.0, so base coat wise, those are the only 2 I could see myself needing them for. I do enjoy them in all their sheer jelly glory though.

I’m so thrilled that you like these so much, Lisa! :D Thank you so much!

Congratulations to Jacob on his great grades – especially for such an awesome grade in the subject he likes least and struggles most with!
