SinfulColors Silk + Satin Partial Collection Swatches & Review

Disclaimer

Slip into summer with this sinfully luxurious new nail polish collection from SinfulColors.  This NEW demi-matte silk texture in summer brights is a must have fashion accessory. In rich matte shades and lustrous textures, they’re guaranteed to add a little sunshine to your summer style.

I have 3 of the new SinfulColors Silk + Satin collection shades to show you tonight, which are Pipaya, Prime Purple and Solar Flux.

I did all of these without top coat, as intended, to show their true finish.  But you can add a top coat to any of them for a creme looking finish.

Pipaya

Pipaya

Pipaya is a strong red leaning coral with a demi matte finish.  I loved this color.  Application was flawless.  I used 2 coats of Pipaya for these photos.

Prime Purple

Prime Purple

Prime Purple was the one I was most excited for, but unfortunately gave me the most application issues.  Prime Purple is a delicate lilac shade with a demi matte finish.  I used 2 coats for these photos and the polish wouldn’t self level for me, so you can see each brush stroke.  The first attempt I did (trying to level it out) got up to 4 coats and it kept getting more lumpy looking, so I started over.  Shown is 2 coats of Prime Purple.

Solar Flux

Solar Flux

Solar Flux is a sunny yellow shade.  The application for this one was right in between Pipaya and Prime Purple.  I used 3 coats for these photos and it looks nice, but the first 2 didn’t want to self level.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Overview

Of the 3, only Prime Purple really let me down with application.  I will probably pick up the remaining 3 shades if I can find them (Silver Solution, Real Teal and Matte About Blue) just to see if the formulas are more like Pipaya or more like Prime Purple.  Hopefully it was weather related application issues (it is hot here) more so than the actual polish.  I do like the demi matte finishes and overall look.  Not quite matte, but not quite creme  feel.  I always love a little something different.

Price: $1.99

Where To Buy: Rite Aid will have this collection in July 2014.  Walgreens will have this collection in August 2014

So what did you think?  Have you picked up any of these SinfulColor shades?  If so, I would really like to know if the leveling issue was the heat here where I am located or just user error on my part (it happens!)

Love the finish of these but that sucks about them not self leveling. Hopefully it was just the heat!

For once it isn’t the purple I favour. I think Pipaya is stunning!
