Today on the blog I have the Salon Perfect Rockin’ The Red, White and Blue collection to share with you! This is a 10 piece collection that includes 3 cremes, 1 metallicy shade and 6 different red, white and blue glitter mixes.
We’re going to start with the cremes and then move onto the glitters!
Salon Perfect Indigo-go
Salon Perfect Rockin The Red, White & Blue Collection Indigo-go Swatch
Salon Perfect Indigo-go is a nice indigo blue. This shade is borderline crelly formula. It went on like a creme but was a little sheer and jelly like on the first coat, but the second coat gave nice opacity while still keeping that “squishy” jelly look. I really liked that aspect of it since I’m a jelly polish fan. I used 2 coats and top coat for these photos.
Salon Perfect Salsa Dance

Salon Perfect Salsa Dance is a tomato red creme. I used 2 easy coats for these photos. This shade was easily a one coat polish. Really nice opacity and the formula was perfection.
Salon Perfect Sugar Cube

Salon Perfect Sugar Cube is easily one of my favorite white cremes if I’m looking for a clean white polish. I have previously gone through 3 bottles of it, so I can say I love it. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Salon Perfect Titanium

Salon Perfect Titanium gave me a little trouble. This is a silver metallic polish and I had a tough time getting a streak free finish plus it kept pulling up areas and leaving “bald spots” on my nails. The color is pretty, but the formula was patchy and streaky for me and a little on the thin side. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Salon Perfect Boom Boom Boom

Salon Perfect Boom Boom Boom is a clear base with small red, white and blue matte hex glitters mixed in. Application was really nice with this one and the clear base was a perfect consistency. I used 1 coat of Boom Boom Boom over a sheer nude base.
Salon Perfect Speck-tacular

Salon Perfect Speck-tacular is a clear base with medium sized red, white and blue matte hex glitters mixed in. These glitters are slightly larger than the ones in Boom Boom Boom. I used 1 coat over a sheer nude base.
Salon Perfect Liberty Bubbles

Salon Perfect Liberty Bubbles is a clear base with larger red, white and blue matte dot glitters and smaller hex glitters. I found the name to be clever! I had a little application issue because the base was thicker, so I did need to fish for some larger dots and then use the dabbing method to apply. Fairly common for me with larger shaped glitters.
I used 1 coat over Salon Perfect Salsa Dance.
Salon Perfect Pa-TRI-otic
Salon Perfect Rockin The Red, White & Blue Collection Pa-TRI-otic Swatch
Another name I found clever! Salon Perfect Pa-TRI-otic is a clear base packed with red, white and blue matte triangle glitter. I had the same application issues as with Liberty Bubbles, so I also used the dabbing method to apply this.
I used 1 coat of Pat-TRI-otic over Salon Perfect Indigo-go.
Salon Perfect Rockets Red Glare

Salon Perfect Rockets Red Glare is a red and blue metallic glitter top coat with semi densely packed glitter. I used 1 coat over Salon Perfect Sugar Cube. I could probably reach full opacity with Rockets Red Glare in 3 coats.
Salon Perfect Let Freedom Bling

Salon Perfect Let Freedom Bling is the final glitter in the lineup! This is a metallic red, white and blue thin bar glitter in a clear base. I used 1 coat of Let Freedom Bling over Salon Perfect Sugar Cube.
Salon Perfect Crystal Clear
For all of the photos in this post I used Salon Perfect Crystal Clear top coat to seal in the shine!

If you need a color for a 4th of July mani, then definitely check out Salon Perfect Rockin’ The Red, White & Blue collection. The only polish in the set that was a complete ‘miss’ for me was Titanium, otherwise I liked them. If you don’t like fishing for glitters, then skip out on Liberty Bubbles and Pa-TRI-otic as well, but I like them so it doesn’t bother me so much.

Swooning over that red, Salsa Dance! I love gorgeous nails like yours in red! And a surprise for me – while I normally detest bar glitter, I am interested in this one, Let Freedom Bling. From a distance, it looks like fireworks on the nails (still don’t care for the closeup, though). Looks like I will have to make my three to four trips a year to a WalMart to look at their polish section! Thank you for the wonderful review!
Bar glitter is the one glitter I cannot stand, but you are right – for 4th of July it just… works! Salsa Dance was extremely well done, and I generally don’t do reds – this ones application and pigmentation were absolutely perfection! Thanks so much for the comment Heather!
