If you are like me, you are loving the texture trend going on right now!  I know it isn’t for everyone, but honestly if you haven’t tried them yet – you should try them before you decide you dislike them!  Today I’m showing off the first indie texture collection (that I’ve seen so far)!  Not only is it a texture collection – they are NEONS!

Red Dog Designs is releasing her Neon Summer Sands Collection which is a collection of 6 brightly colored textured shades with a bit of sparkle added in!  The lovely lady behind Red Dog Designs has been testing these babies for awhile and was trying so hard not to break and announce these were in the works, and I don’t know how she did it!

Take a look!

Flamingo Bay:

Flamingo Bay is a neon pink sand texture polish with micro-glitters.  My favorite of the bunch!  I wore this for almost 5 days and had absolutely no tip wear!  I was bad too, I didn’t put on top coat (shame on me) but even so, it still lasted 5 days!  For this photo I used 3 coats, no top coat!

Sunny Shores:

Sunny Shores is a neon yellow with a slight green tinge sand texture polish with micro-glitters.  I used 3 coats for this photo!  Another beauty and my second favorite of the collection.  The micro glitter really stands out in this one!

Orchid Reef:

Orchid Reef is a neon purple sand texture polish with micro-glitters.  I only used 2 coats of Orchid Reef (no top coat) for this photo!  Beautiful base color!

Palm Cove:

Palm Cove is a neon green sand texture polish with micro-glitters.  Probably one of the most vibrant colors of the collection next to Flamingo Bay!  I love this shade of green!  I used 3 coats for this photo and no top coat.

Overall – if you love textures, you will LOVE these!  My top picks are Flamingo Bay, Sunny Shores and Caribbean Keys!

By now I have tried texture polishes from several of the big brands, and I can say with certainty that Red Dog Designs texture polishes can hold their own against the main stream brands!  I didn’t have any dragging or balding issue while applying, they aren’t overloaded with glitter either – so don’t think that’s where the “texture” or “sand” finish comes from!  Each of the 6 polishes has a nice sparkle to them without being overdone with glitter.

You will be able to purchase this collection starting June 7th at 3PM  EDT

Where can you purchase?  In the Red Dog Design Shop

Price- $8.75 each

Make sure you have the Red Dog Designs Facebook Page “Liked” – they are definitely an indie brand to watch!  Gorgeous collection after gorgeous collection!

So what do you think?  Will you be grabbing any?

These look fabulous! I love textured polishes, so it’s nice to see indies jumping on board for the trend.

I love them as well, and I was wondering how indie makers would go about it! Red Dog Designs really got it right kicking it off with neons!

Oh cool! I’ve been wondering if any indies would figure this out! They look nice!

Lisa June 6, 2013 - 9:48 am

Yes! Me too! When she asked me to swatch them and that they were still on the hush hush I was so excited I could burst!

While I’m still not 100% sure I’m sold on the textured trend, I’m loving Sunny Shores!
