Picture Polish Rocky Horror Collection Swatches & Review

I have several piCture pOlish shades and I love each and every one of them… but never before have I seen a collection of theirs that I absolutely NEEDED to have!

I was thrilled when this set of 5 polishes were available to purchase in the US (originally they weren’t) and bought them as soon as I could.

Let’s take a look at the Rocky Horror Collection by piCture pOlish!

Magenta

piCture pOlish’s inspiration: The marvellous Magenta and her beautiful long locks… 

Magenta is a deep chocolate cherry creme.  I used 2 coats for these photos and I absolutely love this deep, vampy shade!

Frank – n – Furter

piCture pOlish’s Inspiration: The very outrageous Frank-n-Furter and his red lips…

Frank – n – Furter is a classic red crelly polish that is perfection. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.

Rocky

Rocky is a clear base with small and medium gold glitters as well as a few silver hex glitters thrown in as well.  I used 1 coat of Rocky over Frank – n – Furter for these photos.

Columbia

piCture pOlish Inspiration: The very zany Columbia and her red bow tie…

Columbia is my favorite of the collection.  This is a reddened berry jelly base packed with fuchsia and red glitters.  I used 2 coats for these photos and 2 coats of a thick glossy top coat to smooth it all over.

Time Warp

piCture pOlish Inspiration: That unforgettable and fabulous tune… it’s just a jump to the left and so on…

Time Warp is a midnight blue creme with gorgeous blue shimmer.  In the bottle you can see a slight purple sheen to it, but I couldn’t capture it on the nail.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

You can see the purple I’m speaking of in the above photo.

Overview

While these shades are gorgeous, I think we can all agree that they aren’t completely new shades.  For me though, it’s Rocky Horror and I needed the set!  My sister use to watch this movie repeatedly when I was younger, which meant I saw it a ton too.  There is definitely something about this cult classic that draws me in every time!
