Milani Color Statement Water Marble Nail Art

Happy Monday!  This weekend went by too fast, but I seem to have gotten a lot done as far as the blog goes.  I was on a nail art kick all weekend and tried a few new things including the design I use when water marbling.

Usually I do a simple marble with larger “loops” for the design.  I basically make a flower like design in the water (I do have a pictorial planned for a post tomorrow!) and place my nails in the “petals”.  This time i decided to switch it up and dip my nails into the “flower” center.  I have to say, I was impressed with myself on this one.

Milani Water Marble

For this water marble I used the new Milani Color Statement shades in Water Front, Imperial Purple and Mint Crush.  I also used Milani Spotlight White as a base.

As I said earlier, I do plan on working on a pictorial tonight and have it hopefully posted by tomorrow to show how I did this design.

Now, you all know I couldn’t leave well enough alone.  I always have to add something to a water marble, but I didn’t want to just add a glitter top coat as I have been doing… so I reached for my gem wheel and decided to add an aqua gem to the center of each marble.  Had I known I was going to gem it up, I would have worked on centering the marble a little more.

May not be everyone’s thing, but I like it with the gem!

So far I have been loving the new Milani Color Statement nail lacquers for various designs and I was so thrilled to find they water marbled so easily!

As I said (twice now I think..) I am working on doing a pictorial for this water marble tonight.  IF I have time this weekend, I may do a video of it as well since it’s been awhile since I’ve done that.

Hope you love it, and enjoy your Monday!  I’m on my third cup of coffee already, and can already tell I’ll need a fourth.

Thank you! Since I started doing water marbling, I was sticking to “safe” designs I knew, so I’m glad I tried something new this time, it paid off :)

Holy Frijole. That is gorgeous! I have yet to pull off a successful water marble. Love the pattern you chose – and I actually prefer that they’re not all centered. I bow to you.

Thank you Nidia! I’ve been attempting them for almost 3 years now I think, and this is definitely the best I’ve done.
