I have another edition of Pandora’s Box to share with you! Previously I showed you January’s box, but this time we’ll be looking at the March 2017 Pandora’s Box which has a St. Patrick’s Day feel to it!

If you haven’t seen this indie collaboration box before, it’s basically a nice mix of nail and bath and body goodies from some fab indie makers. Some of these makers are new to even me, so it’s an amazing way to sample some new stuff.

This month we have an assortment of goodies like polish, eye shadow, a solid lotion bar, nail wraps and a foaming sugar scrub. Make sure you you read to the bottom, I’ll have some links for a giveaway as well from the brands involved!

First, let’s take a look at each item in the box.

Little Black Dress – Celtic Myth

First up we have Little Black Dress Nail Lacquer in Celtic Myth. This is a fun lighter jelly based green linear holographic with some gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Application was easy, but because it’s a jelly based holo it is on the sheerer side.

Athena & Aphrodite – Pot O’ Gold

Athena & Aphrodite has 2 creations in this box and the first one is Pot O’ Gold! This is a black crelly base with gold and copper shimmery flecks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Athena & Aphrodite – Athena’s Treasure

Athena & Aphrodite also included a pressed eyeshadow in the shade Athena’s Treasure! Athena’s Treasure is a shimmery gold shadow, but it doesn’t apply like some shimmers. There was very little fallout and had a nice, smooth, blendable texture. It isn’t a metallicy bold gold, but more of a mellow one that is ideal for night or day wear.

Shown is 1 swiped on my arm with no primer. It has a nice punch of color.

Nailed It! Hawaii – Solid Lotion Bar

Plain and simple – if you’ve never tried a lotion bar, you haven’t lived. I fell in love with the concept of lotion bars several years ago and use them mainly for my legs after shaving. It’s a solid bar that starts to melt a little with the heat of your body. It’s easy to hold and glides over the skin. I was really happy to see it in this months box.

Nailed It! Hawaii uses shea, cocoa butter, sweet almond, apricot kernel and argan oil and sunflower wax in their bar so you get a natural way to combat drier skin and it has easy absorption into the skin. Their lotion bar has grapefruit, orange and lemon essential oils so you get a nice burst of citrus that lightly scents your skin as well as moisturizes it.

I’ve used this one already and I’ll be buying more from their shop. I haven’t had a chance to see what other types they offer, but I will be.

Freya Wraps – Hearts of Luck

Freya Wraps included a set of Hearts of Luck nail wraps. These are not decals. You match a strip up to your nail to see which size would fit best, trim the wrap down, apply a bit of heat (like from a blow dryer) and apply to your nail. These would make a cute accent nail, or as a full manicure.

Handmade Natural Beauty – Foaming Sugar Scrub

The final item in this lovely box is really fun! Handmade Natural Beauty Foaming Sugar Scrub in the scent Irish Spring. This adds a fun element to sugar scrubs and it FOAMS (as the name implies) and I did get to use this (and loved it) and my son promptly stole it. He thought it was amazing to see all the foam (even though he didn’t really need the scrubby portion) and really liked the refreshing Irish Spring scent.

The added embellishments at the top were a super cute touch as well!

March 2017 Pandora’s Box Overview

Overall, this was a great box and the polishes were really nicely done and the extras will all get some use from me (and my son). While I enjoyed everything, the lotion bar by Nailed It! Hawaii really got me excited because they really are a staple item for me, and I find they can be difficult to find for a reasonable price.
