Kaunis Facial Mask Review

by Lisa Heath

I’m always in search of good skin care items.  When Kaunis (which means ‘beauty’ in Finnish) approached me to review for them, I took a look online at their product and was hooked from online reviews – so I accepted.

Kaunis Facial Masks take very little effort to use and work beautifully.  I received 2 boxes which contained 6 masks each.  Each mask is in it’s own foil packet (which makes traveling a breeze too since I can just grab a packet and go!) and are single use.  There were 2 different types of masks:

Kaunis2

The purple box contains Soothing Facial Masks

Kaunis

The pink box contains Anti-Aging Facial Masks.

I have used both a few times now, and I prefer the Soothing Facial Masks – but both worked well and brought some much needed moisture to my dry skin.

When I received the boxes, I liked how nice the presentation was.  The boxes aren’t flimsy and have a great professional look to them.  Packaging can usually get me to buy something, whether I need it or not.

Opening the box, this is what I saw:

Kaunis Pack

The first of 6 Kaunis Facial Masks nestled within the box.  I removed the first pack from the box and followed the simple instructions:

Directions

This isn’t a typical mask that you squeeze out of a packet, slather it all over your face and wait for it to dry/harden and then rinse off.  When you open the foil packed, you pull the mask out,  peel off the protective plastic layer, and find a soft fabric mask saturated in a serum. There are holes and slits around the eyes, nose and mouth as well so you can still function with it on.

The mask itself was a lot wetter than I thought it would be, but I got use to it quickly.  It isn’t dripping wet, but there is plenty of excess on each mask to smooth extra serum over your neck and hands during this process.  It didn’t feel slimy at all either, the serum feels light on the skin and there is a soothing and cooling effect while you wait for it to dry during those 20 minutes.

I left this on for 20 full minutes, removed the mask, and smoothed in the remaining serum that was on my face and left as is.  I didn’t add any cream after because I wanted to see how it felt without any added help.

Overall, my skin has felt smoother, softer and isn’t flaking all over the place like it sometimes does this time of year.  I have been thrilled with the effects of Kaunis Facial Masks.  I’ve been using 1 mask a week since I got them, and it’s a routine I look forward to every Friday night.

Kaunis Facial Masks are made from natural organic ingredients and is a cruelty free product.  Kaunis is Leaping Bunny and Ecocert Certified as well.

Would I repurchase more Kaunis Facial Masks? Yes!  I have 3 packets left and I plan on picking up more of the Soothing Facial Masks.

Price: $79.00 for 6 single use packets or $15.00 for just a single packet

I know the price seems a little high, but I find it worth the splurge now that I’ve tried them.  Because I’m on a budget I will probably back off to using 1 ever 2 weeks so that one box will last me 12 weeks instead of just 6.  Kaunis Facial Masks are definitely a treat for my skin so I’ll keep splurging on them!

I think splurging on skincare is fine. The masks seem like something worth trying

I don’t think it’s that bad of a price. If it works and you get 15 of them…not bad.
