IPSY March 2015 Reveal

by Lisa Heath

Nothing To Disclose

I’m trying to get a little more into the habit of posting items I purchase or subscribe to so you have a little idea of what I purchase or indulge in.

Today I have my reveal of my March 2015 Ipsy bag.  I have been a subscriber to Ipsy for over a year now, and overall it is a subscription bag I’ve been happy with and I rarely feel like I “wasted” ten bucks on it.

All Contents

The theme of the bag was Floral Fantasy.

Bag

The zippered makeup bag that came with this months subscription is cute (my boyfriend thought otherwise though..) and came with a vibrant blue with grey flowers that had pops of neon yellow and magenta.

NYX Lip Butter in Hunk

NYX lip butter

NYX Lip Butter in the shade ‘Hunk’ was the item I was most excited about.  While it looks dark in the tube, NYX Lip Butters glide on smoothly and give a lightweight feel with a nice amount of color.  It doesn’t apply opaque, there is a sheerness to it.

Purlisse

pūr~delicate gentle soymilk cleanser & makeup remover is a product I can’t wait to dive into.  I haven’t tried it yet, but I have heard good things about the brand overall.

Boo-Boo Cover-Up

Boo Boo Coverup

Boo Boo Cover Up in medium is just a touch to dark and orange for me.  I did try it around the house just to see how I felt about it, and the coverage was nice without being too thick and cakey.  A little went a long way so I only needed a small dab for problem areas.

I might give this product a try in the shade Light.

VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind

Vintage

When I first saw this in my bag I actually thought it was a shadow because of the size and shape of the little compact it came in, but was pleasantly surprised when I read it was a face illuminating highlighter.  It’s fairly pigmented so I will need to use a light hand with it, otherwise I might look like a teen who just discovered shimmer.

Dr. Brandt Skincare

Dr Brant

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Anti-aging Mattifying Lotion… just take my money.  This is another brand I heard a lot about but hadn’t taken the plunge on yet… until today.  I just bought this in full size for $45.00.

There are very few items I try once and splurge on, but this I had to have more of.  I have ugly pores and a shiny face, so this handy product pretty much killed 2 birds with 1 stone and felt really nice on.

Overview

I will use pretty much all items I got in my March Glam Bag.  The top 2 items for me were the NYX Lip Butter (need more) and the Dr. Brandt Pores No More lotion. The only item that didn’t work out for me was Boo Boo Coverup and it was simply because I need Light and not Medium in color.

Price: $10.00 a Month

Where To Buy: Ipsy Website

If you love subscription bags that are a reasonable amount each month, I do suggest Ipsy.  Every month my bag has at least 3 items I love and every 3 bags or so I find an item I need more of.

Do you subscribe to Ipsy?

I got the same stuff! I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m probably going to need the Light version of the coverup too. I already own Hunk, so I was a little disappointed, but it is a great color.
