Happy Tuesday! How did the long weekend fly by already? I had so many plans of things to get done… and 99% of them just didn’t happen. Story of my life! I did get the new Great Lakes Lacquer June Limited Editions swatched though!
The Great Lakes Lacquer June Limited Editions are loosely based on Pantone’s Colors of the Year as well as a song that shares the name of one of them.
Let’s take a peek at these 3 shades!
I Need Serenity
I Need Serenity is a medium blue leaning periwinkle with a pinkish copper shimmer. My camera didn’t pick it up too well, but the shimmer is a bit more obvious in person. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Taste The Serenity
Taste The Serenity is my favorite of the 3. This is a light periwinkle creme with pinkish copper shimmer and a light linear holographic effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
There are a couple bubbles in the closeup – it was the top coat (darn low bottle) and not the Great Lakes Lacquer polish.
Above photo taken with flash, not color accurate.
A Place Where I Can Hide
A Place Where I Can Hide is a light, violet toned pink with shimmer that shifts from pink to copper to gold, as well as a scattered holo effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Great Lakes Lacquer June Limited Editions Overview
I’m a sucker for a good pink and anything that hints at purple, so this trio was a hit for me. I like that she did 2 periwinkle shades, one with holo and one without. My favorite is definitely Taste The Serenity, but all 3 are really nicely done.
