Ethereal Lacquer’s newest release comes out tomorrow, and while I am cutting it close – I am still before the launch. This whole week was crazy at work and I had slightly longer hours, but I’ve been swatching in the background to keep up… just have to type some posts now!

This is the Ethereal Lacquer Persephone Collection, and it’s an 8 piece release, plus there will be 3 types of 2 polish mystery bags… with 6 possible shades available. However – you can only buy 1 bag per person. I always snag those and cannot wait to see them!

For all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did use a combination of the top coats including Vibrant Vinyls which was sent as PR this month, and Night Owl Lacquer’s Patience Not Required, as well as Anchor & Heart Sea Glass. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues and the top coats were sent as pr or as gifts.

I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I work during the day and weekend afternoons I’m with Nick and Jacob, so I do most swatching when the sun is setting or gone. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

These all release tonight at 9PM EST, so let’s jump in!

Ethereal Lacquer | Goddess

Goddess is a cinnamon jelly base with gold to green shimmer and micro holo flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos

Ethereal Lacquer | Minthe

Minthe is a soft minty toned grey that dries down to a satin finish. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Hades

Hades is a soft denim blue crelly base loaded with red to gold to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Asphodel

If milk chocolate and taupe had a baby – it would be Asphodel. This is also packed with holographic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Queen of the Underworld

Queen of the Underworld is a medium neutral red crelly. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

If you have a strong VNL – it may show through this just a bit.

Ethereal Lacquer | Styx

Styx is a marine blue jelly base loaded with holographic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Six Seeds

Six Seeds is a deep berry red jelly base loaded with pink to orange to gold shifting flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade was on the thicker side, but still easy to apply. If you prefer thinner polishes though – you will probably need some thinner.

Ethereal Lacquer | Narcissus

Narcissus is a soft lavender toned pink crelly base with pink to orange shimmer and holographic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Persephone Collection

There are some pretties here – but Goddess was my top pick, next to Minthe and Queen of the Underworld. I needed a good red and this one is perfect. All 8 shades are beautiful – but those 3 are my top picks for sure.

As for the mystery bags… here are the possibilities:

Persephone- shimmer mystery bags 1 per person. Two mystery shades inspired by Persephone in shimmer formulas. 6 possible shades available. $25.00

Hades- flakie mystery bags 1 per person. Two mystery shades inspired by Hades in flakie formulas. 6 possible shades available $25.00

Underworld- Dark mystery bags 1 per person. Two mystery bags inspired by the underworld in various finishes. All polishes are dark and moody shades. 6 possible shades available. $25.00
