I have a string of posts for you today and the one I’m starting it off with is the Ellagee Born To Be Brave Collection!
This is a 7 piece Lady Gaga inspired collection that is a collaboration collection between Ellagee and Karl of PolishedPrince_80 on Instagram. Seeing the inspiration photos transformed into polish, I have to say that they did an amazing job with this collection.
Let’s take a look!
Million Reasons is a medium silvery blue linear holographic base with a pink to blue to lilac flash of shimmer, as well as silver holographic microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Beautiful Dirty Rich
Beautiful Dirty Rich is a black jelly base packed with gold and coppery red shimmer and flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I Am My Hair
I Am My Hair is a medium aqua blu elinear holographic with gold microflakes mixed in. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Mother Monster is a super pale lilac crelly (so pale it almost looks white in some lighting) and it has aqua shimmer as well as lavender to pink shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did find this one to require a bit of finesse due to the pale lilac crelly base, so I did 3 really thin coats to avoid patchiness. With that said, this is still one of my favorites from this collection.
Monster Ball is a clear base with a mix of hex, square, and bar glitters in holographic silver, pink, lilac and gold, as well as silver holographic stars. I used 1 coat over Mother Monster for these photos.
The Countess is a shimmery rich magenta base with blue to lilac shimmer flashes, as well as silver holographic microglitters mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Velvet Ropes and Guitars
Velvet Ropes and Guitars is a deep red jelly base with densely packed red microglitter and translucent hot pink microflakes and red shimmer added in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ellagee Born To Be Brave Collection Overview
I happen to be a Lady Gaga fan, and I completely approve of this collection. From the photos selected as inspiration to the polish interpretation – Karl and Laura did an amazing job. I had no application issues other than with Mother Monster, but that was a typical problem with pale crelly shades that contain a decent amount of shimmer I’ve noticed.
My Top Picks: Mother Monster, The Countess, Million Reasons & Velvet Ropes and Guitars
