Cool Waves Lacquer Snake Bite Blues Polish and Cutie-cle Oil Review

Good evening!  So glad I get to post tonight!  Almost thought I wouldn’t be able to since power was out in my area (about a 3 block area was without power!) BUT it came back on a lot sooner than anticipated!  Thank goodness!

So, a few weeks ago, a blogger I follow asked if anyone would like to review her Cutie-cle Oil (I think that name is to flippin cute!) so I sent a message saying I was interested!  I received the package a couple weeks later (they weren’t quite ready to ship yet!). Within the package was also a mini polish that I was told I could review if I wanted to since the polish wasn’t released yet (Cool Waves Lacquer is still in their testing phases!).  I put the polish on last night and that baby is getting reviewed!

I’m sorry about the nasty little paper cut on my pointer finger.  Trust me, it hurts worse than it looks.

Cutie-cle Oil:

I’m going to start with Cutie-cle Oil since this is what I was actually sent to review.  First thing I noticed?  Ingredients are printed right on the label!  This is an all natural cuticle oil that works really well.  This is not scented either!  It comes in a roller ball applicator that is easy to handle and glides on easily and soaks in fairly quick.  I apply it to my cuticle area, sit for a few minutes and then massage the oil in.  Within 2 minutes my skin has soaked Cutie-cle Oil up and I can go about my daily business.

Ingredient List:  Avocado Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Olive Squalene Oil (this is taken from the label on the bottle!)

Price: $5.50

Where can you find it?:  Never Naked Nails Etsy Store

Snake Bite Blues:

I have been staring at my nails ALL DAY LONG!  This is a gorgeous polish that I NEED a full bottle of!  Snake Bite Blues consists of a sheer purple base with small holo micro glitter and slightly larger aqua blue iridescent like hex glitters.  Snake Bite Blues is part of their Lush Lizard Collection!  I layered one coat of Snake Bite Blues over Illamasqua Prosperity.  Match made in HEAVEN.  Snake Bite Blues laid flat on the nail, I used 1 coat of HK Girl Top Coat and no bumps or grittiness.  Even better?  Removal was NOT like normal glitters.  I used 1 cotton ball per hand and no scrubbing or foil method needed!

Here are a couple cell phone shots of Snake Bite Blues I took last night and this morning to show friends!

Here is Snake Bite Blues in normal daylight with no flash (and my boo boo that makes an appearance in the swatch photo):

Snake Bite Blues at night with no flash (but has crappy outdoor lighting) – this one shows the holo micro glitter well!  Sorry for the blurriness!

Now, I know I’m kind of teasing with Snake Bite Blues… Cool Waves Lacquer is still testing polishes.  They have been testing since July and don’t plan on releasing their polish until late this year/early next year which gives them more than enough time to see if there is issues with any of their glitters or bases.  This is bad for those that want this polish NOW, but it also makes me feel better that they aren’t just pushing product out the door.  They are also waiting to ensure they have major stock to work with come release time!

Prices aren’t set in stone yet, but they are tentatively placed at:

Mini Price: $4.50

Full Size Price: $8.50

This might change.  Cool Waves Lacquer wants their product to be affordable, so the price may go down!

Where can you find these?:  Never Naked Nails Etsy Shop once they have released.  I will repost this when the time comes as a reminder :)

Both products are really good!  I’ve been using the Cutie-cle Oil at night and in the mornings with great results!  The price is reasonable and it comes in a good sized roller ball applicator.  The polish is just… exquisite! Cannot wait to see more Cool Waves Lacquer when they hit Etsy!

There are some very pretty nail polish rings on their Etsy store now if you want to take a look!

Make sure to add Never Naked Nails on Facebook as well for updates and swatches of other polishes to be released!  The owner is a complete sweetheart and very quick in answering questions!

Gorgeous polish and everything in this post is really great and I know I should only mind the relevant things but…, I can’t stop staring at your plaster. I think it is the cutest plaster I have seen to date. I definitely need it! Where on earth did you get it from?????

Plaster? What plaster?

Fay October 3, 2012 - 3:15 pm

Plaster is what non-americans call a band aid! I’m from england and I have this issue with some friends from out of the country and a lot of my foreign family who speak americanised english! That plaster is amazing, I love it!

I spoke to Jin on FB and she explained it to me! I have never heard that! I only know plaster as the stuff you put on walls!
